Just had my level 26 banned today. Botting 2 - 3 hours a day / 5 days a week. Walking Speed. I think I'm going to start waiting a week or two after each update to make sure no one else is getting banned.

      Here are my settings:
      • Run between Pokestops
      • Stay in radius of 150 metres from start location.
      • Walking (3.6 km/h)
      • Stop randomly on Pokestops and take a break.
      • Catch Pokemon
        • Use CP based Pokeball strategy
        • Pokeball min. CP (1)
        • Greatball min. CP (500)
        • Ultraball min. CP (749)
        • Never use Masterball!
        • Use random throw accuracy.
        • Use highest Pokeball on rare Pokemon
        • Skip Pokemon if caughts are > 100 in last Hour
        • Use Razzberry if Pokemon CP is > ...
        • Minimum CP is 500 to use Razzberry
        • Use Nanabberry always, if possible
        • Use Pinapberry always, if posssible
      • Loot Pokestops
        • Skip Pokestop if we have mroe than 200 Pokeballs
      • Transfer Pokemon to Professor
        • Transfer immediately!
        • Protect favorite Pokemon from being transfered.
      • Use Incubator if available
        • Limited Incubator Settings
          • Use for 10 km eggs
        • Unlimited Incubator Settings
          • Use for 2 km eggs
          • Use for 5 km eggs
      • Prioritize rare Pokemon

I was also banned today. Lvl 27. I am botting 4 accounts on a rotation. What strikes me this time around is that none of the other 3 is banned yet. But this one that was banned first was botting at the time of the update. I gotten back to the computer and saw it stopped and said there was a forced update.

So is it timing?? not to be botting when an update is about to come out?

I have been banned today (LV 31)........
(The account is trained by PF for about 1 month.....)
What is the safest strategy of PF use?

I figured since I'm going to be banned anyways, I may as well go balls-to-the-wall. See how long this lasts.

@mrTKO , This same thing happened to me. I'm botting five separate accounts (knowing one of them is going to bite the dust) It's just best to assume you can lose any one of them at any time; therefore, make as many as possible and only bot a few hours a day. It's hard to assume when the updates are going to drop other than the obvious holidays that spring forward. So with that said I would assume any holiday coming up that within 2 weeks of that holiday (include the Asian holidays too like Lunar Festivals) to stop botting or manually watch the bot and if it says disconnected, reconnecting to server to just stop it and hopefully you're close to it's "botting location" and manually play to seem like a normal player?

There are a few things I've become much more attuned/aware of that I take greater precautions with when botting and that is, the mass transfer of pokemon. I never do that now, I ensure transfer immediately is turned off, then manually do it. I turned on transfer's once my poke bag is cleaned up so it bots and transfers as it goes (because I do this in real life too).

Another major thing...how fast it catches between each pokemon. The bot does a relatively good job, but still it's randomized; but, still so fast, as it's maximizing the possible coding time possible to catch sometimes; which, I believe is very suspicious (putting myself in the shoes of niantic game wardens). So when I use pokefarmer and lazymon, I'm very cognoscente of allowing a good MINIMUM 7-12 seconds to catch the next pokemon or do another action like collect a pokestop/ transfer/ evolve etc. Because notice when you catch one in real life the long animation time it takes from catching to getting to the actual pokemon screen showing your +3/5/10 candy and stardust, and then having to hit the little "x" button to get out and go about your way getting the next one... There's a good solid 6-12 seconds there of delay, so just keep it realistic, don't capture as fast as the bot allows you too but much more slowly.

That is the most dreadful thing when you come back to your computer (even if it's just the restroom or getting the mail or something or walking the dog) to come back to your machine and see "Disconnected, reconnecting to server" or whatever; because, you know it's permabanned at that point.

I'd also like to learn more about what is actually happening in the background with as far as when you're playing and it says session ended, reconnecting or whatever. Is that when a "CAPTCHA" is happening? I've personally NEVER seen a CAPTCHA in real life when playing and I have played a handful of times at 8 hours or more nonstop. (especially at malls or long runs/hikes/ruck marches).
      - I'm personally ignorant of how to use the "CAPTCHA" service, I'm assuming there is a guide/walkthrough for it's use in the forums; but, I haven't taken the time to research it like I should. I'm not sure if this helps NEGATE the effects of getting caught?
      - I think one super nice feature like Honorbuddy has through itself or through Arelog would be to have a way (internal or 3rd party) to have the bot completely disconnect/terminate and close out when it gets a second reconnecting error or something like that. I'd even be willing to pay a little more just for that feature alone, so :stomp stomp: dev's and fellow coders :p

The sniping is an obvious NO-GO regardless of how close you are to something. You don't just show up not playing for a long time then magically appear near a highly desired pokemon (chansey/blissey, dratini, larvitar etc).

oh yeah! one more thing I think is a MAJOR concern. Try to bot near an area you're familiar with, or use google maps on a desktop near by with satelitte imagery or reconoitore the area prior to botting. The reason I say this is because the map is good on the major cities but not so much the smaller ones with identifying pre-existing structures/major thoroughfairs/highways (that is going to realistically take you 5 minutes or so to cross due to sheer traffic).

      - Again putting ourselves in Niantic's Game Warden shoes, a real player isn't going to consistently be running THRU buildings at a constant fast speed, LET ALONE a walking "~3mph speed" it's just not realistic. Imagine major two-story + buildings that have security/parking lots/busy crowded areas. There should be much more variation in speed.

      - I would say a super nice feature would be to throttle the speed in a much more realistic manner, and have bursts of speed like when you get excited or "pickup/notice" a highly desired pokemon nearby on your nearbylist. In real life if you saw a charizard/dragonite you'd be like oh hell yeah! and speed up in your car or run on foot to get there, not knowing how much time is left. SO maybe make an IF/OR/ELSE function that if X=desired pokemon, accelerate speed towards vicinity (AFTER "tracking it"). I just would ensure also that you do you're best to avoid buildings, because the bot just isn't going to know what territory/area is unable to be walked on (i.e. a prison wall, or in the middle of a mixmaster on an interstate etc. Hand botting via lazymon would be preferred here; but, of course, it would be neat if there were ways to almost makes "WAYPOINTS" like in Honorbuddy or "profiles" that are known/desirable paths like trails in the innercity or alley ways that real players may take and then the bot could use. I think that would be something very plausible to do, and very neat to do. I'd be very interested in designing something like this.

Also @Tony , @HatchingEgg , and friends I love the product, and apologies if this reply was out of scope for this particular post, I'll ensure I put it in the "requests" portion of the forum. Just some interesting concepts/ideas I've pondered. If i can help in anyway please let me know. Per @HatchingEgg and I forget his alias in here with the mad tv look alike bird icon, (cool guy) I'm trying to learn some C# on the side to help do something on the side if I can. I love this product and want to be able to help our little rebel community of fellow botters :)

Great information. I got the black warning screen and am tentatively optimistic that I wont get the ban hammer but started another account just in case. I think my transfer of low iv pokemon is what got Niantics attention. I don't think PF code is detectable (except, perhaps, at the time of the updates) or else we would all be instantly banned. The behaviors is what attracts the attention.
