Sometimes, when wow has an update out, you can delay the patch, and keep HB in working condition. It does not work well if you use Battlenet. If Battlenet starts a patch, the play button will be grayed out until the patch is largely downloaded. You can start wow from the executable, in 32-bit mode. Just create a shortcut and add the following to the “target” field: -noautolaunch64bit So in my case this will look like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe" -noautolaunch64bit I always start the game like this, and only patch if the game forces me to (the server list will tag all servers as “Incompatible”) or after HB has a patch ready. There is an option in the Blizzard App to apply patches only manually. There is even an setting to force 32Bit client to start.
