      Hey,

So ExileBuddy was the best experience I had in front of a PC. I just LOVED being able to code my own bot.

      But then it died :(

I've since been looking for another game to bot but I've never given FF14 a close look because it was nothing like Path of Exile. And Diablo was an expensive game with not-so-rare bans so I didn't start..

But now I noticed FF14 doesn't even have a ban thread because ban rates are so low..?

      So, a couple of questions;

      1. How capable is the bot and the api?
      2. How hard of a game would you say FF14 is for a complete noob?
      3. Is RMT a thing? I'll not be in this for RMTing or profiting but having a purpose or a goal is nice.
      4. If any of you used ExileBuddy, could you make some comparisons?
      5. How often there are (big) updates and how long does it usually take for the bot to get back up?
      6. Do you see a long future in front of RebornBuddy or is it closing to an end?

I'll just invest my time and money into this to be able to bot with another buddy product once again. It was just so goddamn fun.

So please answer some questions if you can!

How capable is the bot and the api?
The api is very capable, you can write your own bots for the game if you like.
I like the bot, for crafting and gathering there are some killer third party addons (paid).
For leveling, i believe there are free community profiles for most of the main scenario - i bet they do need to be monitored though. As for grinding exp for alts its a bit limited, it can grind fates which is fairly solid but can get you into group(ish) content.
Flying works well for the most part but this is usually where i have to keep an extra eye on the bot,

How hard of a game would you say FF14 is for a complete noob?
Its not that hard to get into, especially if you played other mmos like wow, the big hurdle is the main scenario quest grind. You have to do it and there's a lot of it. Also the base game (pre expansions) hasnt aged as well and can be a bit of a blocker for some people. Square has promised to shorten the questline so players can get into the expansions quicker.

There is a lot of side content available and the sheer mass of it can probably be daunting for new players.

Is RMT a thing? I'll not be in this for RMTing or profiting but having a purpose or a goal is nice.
There are certainly gold sellers (spam bots), not sure if people actually use them much. Gil is fairly easy to obtain for more established players. Square does ban for RMT activity.

How often there are (big) updates and how long does it usually take for the bot to get back up?
about every 3-4 months i believe, not sure how fast the bot gets updates. Its usually available when i need it.

Given how story driven this game is i dont know how worthwhile it would be to get into it just for botting - gold grinding without any normal progression can be risky. but i wouldn't know for sure, ive only used rebornbuddy casually. I would advice you to try the game first to see if you like it. Theres a free trial with no time limit.

I'd say FFXIV is amazing game. I wouldn't use reborn though. After key change and stuff a lot of the main devs that kept it alive originally stopped doing work on the latest expansion. The only reason to get RB would be to utilize Lisbeth which is a third party paid botbase for crafting and gathering. The user before mentioned payed profiles for leveling but I've been a part of the old discords and I haven't seen any for the latest expansion. As much as I use to love this bot. There is better much better. I wish RB put as much love as they did as they did with HB bc the community keeps growing. The other competition had more features and add-ons and such.

@ Urgent2009: FFXIV is a very good MMORPG and continues to get better overtime. I would high recommend the usage of Rebornbuddy for it! I have been using it for quite some time and haven't run into any trouble or inconveniences.

      • How capable is the bot and the api? Capable of fully automated leveliing, farming, full mainstory line and side quest completion with about 99%+ full afk if you desired. Fully automated crafting and gathering. Full Class/Job quests botted from level 1-80.
      • How hard of a game would you say FF14 is for a complete noob? I believe it's a very straight-forward and there isn't much of a learning curve for anybody that has any prior experience with other final fantasy games or MMOs in general. You can decide for yourself how difficult you want the game to be but the most difficult content in late game savage raiding. It's easily adaptable for a new player and it's their decision how tough the content can be (i.e. Eden's Verse, Ultimate's, Trials and late game dungeons). There is normal difficulty late game content as well as savage level which is more of a challenge if that's what you seek.
      1. Is RMT a thing? I'll not be in this for RMTing or profiting but having a purpose or a goal is nice. It sure is, there is always going to be gil RMT, rare/expensive items/housing, mounts, minions, boosting, etc.
      • If any of you used ExileBuddy, could you make some comparisons? I'm a former user of ExileBuddy and loved it. I feel like Rebornbuddy is a superior bot, simpler to use and has many more features which are ever-growing and constantly being updated.
      • How often there are (big) updates and how long does it usually take for the bot to get back up? Based on my own personal experience there are periodic updates for the bot itself (perhaps a couple times a week which are automatically patched in a timely fashion -QUICK-) The bot hasn't been down for me ever and I use it everyday for anywhere from 8-24+ non-stop without any fear of getting warned, temp banned or perm banned.
      • Do you see a long future in front of RebornBuddy or is it closing to an end? " I don't see Rebornbuddy going anywhere, anytime in the short, mid or long distanced future. The game seems to be gaining more popularity and RB developers seem more involved than. Solid bot, easy to use, works like a charm and many, if not all developers/coders are willing to support you here on the buddyforums. Also expect to get any help/assistance if necessary from the Buddy community.
I strongly advise using Rebornbuddy, some of my favorite features/perks about it other than the full afk automation, is the ability to use your pc while the bot is running without it messing with your mouse or keyboard (no interference with other programs and computer usage) and the high tier/caliber combat routines with perfect rotations to maximize your tanking, healing and dpsing.
