I'm not much into jewelcrafting, so possible that someone can tell me why prospecting Elementium ore yields less gold earned, than prospecting Obsidium ore?
with obsidium ore, you always get atleast 1 green quality gem that vendors for 5g. with elementium ore, you don't always get a green quality gem, and you have a greater chance to get a blue quality gem that vendors for 3g... now personaly i would pair this with enchanting making the rings and necks for Disenchant, as enchanting mats usually sell for a lot more, if this plug in did that, it would be a get rich quick scheme... thats just my opinion...
MMOchamp post for 4.1 patch notes: Jewelcrafting Bold Carnelian, Solid Zephyrite, Subtle Alicite, Perfect Quick Alicite, Sovereign Nightstone, Regal Jasper, Resolute Hessonite, and any cut of uncommon gem now sells to NPC for 75 silver instead of 9 gold. Sad!

Still have a good month or so left to use this before 4.1 I'm guessing. Keep checking MMO champ. They usually know when patch releases are coming out a week ahead of time
Unbelievable. This means that Obsidium and Elementium Ore prices will drop insanely low, don't think that will do much good to be honest. The price of the ore will drop. The price of Enchanting mats will drop. The price of BS items will drop. The price of Enchanting scrolls will drop.
That bites. Time to unload the 20k of elementium I have. Any word on when epic gems will come from prospecting pyrite?
Due to time constraints I'll only discuss the 4.1 PTR changes. While they are merely datamined from the PTR, they aren't promising anything good. I'll check it myself as soon as the realms are back online. I've also read some speculation of rare gems becoming more valuable, so there might be some hope. Right now it seems like the bottom value of obsidium will be around 30-35g. I personally expect a huge drop in demand as all humans will no longer be able to profitably shuffle it. If, hopefully, the AH price drops to approx. 20g it'll still be profitable. If not, then I'll look for other ways to make a fortune using low-risk methods. I highly recommend you read the various blog posts on this issue, some hardcore AHers have analysed the changes and came to some interesting conclusions. Rest assured that I'll continue this as long as it is theoretically possible to make more than 500g / hour.
can it buy elementium ores too? or only obsidium ore? and how can i set it to buy ore in ah at less then x price? edit : also how come it stops cutting gems when it sells gems to vendor when bag full. sometime it stops the second time when sell gems when bag full
A quick heads up. I had a look on 4 of the oceanic servers and 2 of the US servers earlier, it seems making the Carnelian Spike's from 3 of the red gems turns into about 45-70g on the AH from the Greater essence you d/e from them. On my server its 50g a piece, and considering i craft the rest of the gems from this great profile im making huge profits per hour now. I removed the Carnelian gems from the craft portion of the profile so it no longer crafts them. I have then been crafting the spike's manually and using GB to d/e them all with a macro. To be honest i probably dont need it to use the ah as i have 2 ore farmers feeding my bot with both elementium and obsidium but when there is downtime the fact that it goes and still makes profit from using the ah is awesome. Edit: After d/e'ing about 80 spikes im finding i get 2-3 greater essences per spike. Thats 100-150g per spike at least on my server. Edit 2: I broke the profile by editing it my self to remove carnelians and hesonite lol. Any chance the author could do a quick edit as you know what you are actually looking for.
It did, i had thousands upon thousands of green gems because idiots would sell them on the ah for less than a 1/3 of the cut gem price. However i didnt bot back then so it took days upon days of cutting them lol. By the time i got to finishing the last bag of them off in my bank blizz had put in the change... i ended up d/e all the rings i made instead of crafting gems
