Sadly this is truth, since it's not really being desiened by the people who made the first 2 games it looks like it's lacking the depth and quility. Also the classes look so clunky .

I definitely feel like WoW has gone downhill, but mostly I'm annoyed by the major changes in specific classes that I love. It just feels like they haven't gotten a handle on cata balance yet, and they're going based on a guess & check method or something.

Anyways, in the meantime I have just been leveling all classes to 85, that way I can't be bored.. right? >.>

I agree. I have started a hunter, Warlock and Tauren Pally.

I raided for about 2-3 years and just quit about a month and a half ago. The Cata content is boring and like another posted complained it takes too long to work in attempts. I literally found myself falling asleep during raids! With a heavy heart I called it quits; I love my guild and I'm still there as a social, but I couldn't justify spending 9 hours a week doing something that put me to sleep.

I'm feeling really burned out in other areas as well. Dailies are soul-crushing and heroics are tedious. I mostly log onto my main and other high-levels to post auctions and to craft, to keep my legitimate gold-making business going. If it weren't for nostalgia I would probably consider selling my account, but I do adore my guild and my main character.

Cata has completely underwhelmed me in the two fronts I enjoy: playing the AH, and PVE. Blah.

yeap got burned out about 3 months ago, so took a little break and played aion for a bit then went over to rift on release, it has its issues but at least i'm enjoying it. i'll probaly come back to WoW at some point but probaly not till the winter, or if i decide to switch my account to gold selling not that its worth it on just 2 accounts.

Just quit today, last time online will be tonight to give gold, items, etc to a guildy. It's just too boring, gold farming aint what it used to be. They killed it.

I was burnt out until today.. I had A Great time healing ZA and ZG for many many guild groups.. also.. so Close to the bear mount it wasn't funny! the Nostalgia was amazing.. having played for 6+ years now.. I have gone through phases of being burnt out and coming back.. and... I'm again at the coming back point.. I fill in if one of our guild healers is away for Heroic content.. I find it halerious that I've healed heroic Maloriak, atra, chim and halfus.. yet still haven't stepped into throne of the 4 winds lol!

Been tired of WoW for years. It's why I have HonorBuddy, gets rid of most of the hassle.

wow is still more fun then the comp even if it does feel a bit stale

best comp yet was rift but still cleared all rift content an rank 6 pvp inside free 30 days an unsubbed an uninstalled
also any game that has gersh as a dev i will never play i hear people are having fun getting 1 shot by pyros with 75% overkill in pvp over there though ....
if you dont know who gersh is he is the lead dev responcible for bright wizards in warhammer an pyros in rift he is also a real life fire bug with a minor conviction against his name (not joking lol)

honestly as long as they are throwing new bosses and different mechanics at me I am usually pretty happy. I started in early BC as a result most of Vanilla was lost to me, which keeps me hopeful as I never raided ZG, I did raid ZA extensively, and I never did Hakkar so with that coming up, and the Firelands I will dispel my boredom of wiping on heroic Chimarion night after night. ( only use HB for rep farming, achievements and Gold farming :D ) on a side note if a better mage than me ever makes a badass mage version of lazylock / lionheart I would hop on that in an instant :D

Mmm I got burned out really fast of cata (Don't know if this is because of cata or the fact that i lost my main 3 months befor cata and had to restart from scratch.) but that's why i had a break till last weekend. Till now i'm enjoying it again but the only thing i'm doing is leveling 2 new toons and haven't returned to the level 85 "world".

see i feel its all too easy nowadays which i actually dont mind too much but what makes me not wanna play is the fact of how easy fights are and people just cant do them i mean back in the day bosses had healers u had to take out of sight, anymore its just running away from aoes or dealing with debuffs

I have played this game since before BC. I've tried others, including Rift, but not a one of them measures up in my book to all that w.o.w. ever was or is even now. I've played on PVP servers, normal and roleplaying and the betas. I have one of every class + from both factions. The only problem I've ever seen with wow is, that the company keeps trying to implement two very separate types of game into one, That being pvp (for argument sake, a first person shooter type sorta thing) and the pve part. inevitably in programming, if you do something say, to one class to better it in pvp, you inadvertently screw something up in that class for pve. In short, from the beginning with all the claims of trying to balance the game between the two, they've always failed and always will.

But up until cata I more enjoyed the game. In Cata they screwed up more things than they added. Of course this is my opinion only, your flavor may indeed vary. I'm not bored with the game, just not happy the direction it's gone and I'll never agree, that messing with customers toons is a right or good thing. Give new content good stuff, Adjust that new content to the mechanisms already in place that the toons have, not the toons= great. New gear with better stats=Great. You get the drift.

Well I don't' think that the heroics are all that easy, considering the way the game has turned from what you mention. Back in the day, You didn't send a tank in ever, without doing a whole lot of ccing, spell stealing and what not (we still have to do that now too though but the tanks are just tougher than they were) but the bosses were tougher too, in that it took a long time to burn them down. Even with the trash in pre BC and even in BC, either a mage would sheep one, another would hex or stun one, the hunter would shoot one to pull it and the tank would taunt that single trash mob before it got to the huter to hold it. The tank wasn't tough enough to withstand 3, 4, 5, trash mobs on them. ONe at a time was the way it was done. I remember that when LK first came out, I saw many 70s that couldn't do the required 550 over all avg dps that Nexus required umless they were in T raid gear from bc and even then, the most dps I ever saw was 750 even with the ones that had a full set of BC raid gear. People were getting kicked due to it all the time. You really didn't even get to finish a nexus run in the beginning of LK until you were around level 74. Today level 68s run it.

It wasn't a one man show though before LK like it is today. Today the tank is usually the one with the most know how in an instance. The rest just have to follow the tank. They don't' generally have to know much of anything except to sheep or hex something as you mentioned. But then in the day, a dpser had to know that too. I think the biggest downfall for the game is that Blizz decided to make it at one point, to where the tank could do it all basically. Pull massive groups, hold them, even heal them self even if there is a healer. No one needs to know anything and really the real only true way to learn something well is to just get your hands in it and do it. But today, everyone seems to rely on the tank to mark his target, mark the ones he/she wants CCd, know where to pull the mobs, know when to pull, and be able to tell everyone else their job. Now in the old days, if you were a prot pali, you were one hard dude to take out in pvp but were still quite squishy to a boss in pve. Today most of my toons can own one. I remember the days I dreaded pvping a protection pali. Usually it took two or three people to take one down and they didn't really need to know how to play one all that well back in those days. Today they are tougher in pve than they were but not all that tough comapred to back then in pvp I know, because I had a level 70 in BC.

I don't think it was really that much harder though then now, but it is differnt. Heorics until you're over geared for them are still pretty tough coming right out of norms. But then again, after this last xpac. it might not be since now you can get t11 with Justice points. Sure wish I knew the thinking behind it all.

You kill Sinestra yet? No? Stop whining then. You killed her just before 4.2 was out? Good, you made the most use out of the content.

Everyone keeps complaining how easy everything is without even having tried the top content. Yes, the "normal" modes are catered towards non-hardcore players. Yes, the "old" raids are now catered to the casuals. But there's hardmodes available for all those that want a real challenge.

My "hardcore" guild is most probably going to clear all of Firelands this week. Good thing too because then next week we can start working on Heroic modes again! We were 10/13 Heroic on the last tier, going for full Heroic on Firelands before 4.3. And I can tell you already; it's not going to be easy. It's not going to be carried by the tanks. It's not going to be "nuke 'til they glow".
