Ok so I have become aware that Blizzard tracks MAC addresses. I knew they didn't IP ban but I have downloaded SMAC in hopes of becoming less obvious. I have 4 bots running ~20hours a day or as much as possible, soon to be 6 and I want to try to keep them as safe as possible. Would this be pointless to do until one of them does get banned and then switch addresses? p.s. Gathering in low pop areas over 4 accounts for over a month and 0 bans yet. Both of my toons I grind lvled up were banned at the same time twice after logging out(got both back) but I have heard talk that it's because they can see you kill 8,593 raptors in a day and outrageous kill numbers.
Pretty sure there is shit loads of posts saying why they arent MAC banning? Something with the MAC adress keeps changing to the last device it have been thru. Network card -> Router -> Modem -> etc If they do so, by changing your adress, there is a small change that u might get Bosslands or any other hardcore botter's MAC adress, then what ? Instant flagged? But maybe some new info have been digged up?
They can track a lot other things if the want to starting by your hostname, the wow folder your Hardware IDs like Punkbuster does that too... But i dont think they dont doing this on a big scale
