Hey, I was thinking about the mamba or g700. Primarily i would like a new mouse, my budget is 100$. I could go for keyboard and mouse bundles if the hw is ok. Post your opinions here.. If you know a better one let me know.
There a few different keyboards that you should be looking at when you shopping: ?Scissor Switch ?Membrane ?Mechanical Now there are key differences in price and performance in the keyboard types. Scissor Switch is what a laptop would use. A keyboard that is very popular that you can buy that is Scissor Switch would be Razer Lycosa. They require about the same force to push down as a Membrane, but they key comes up faster. Membrane Keyboards are what 90% of all keyboards made use due to the fact they are very cheap to produce. A popular Membrane Keyboard would be something like Logitech G15 Mechanical keyboards are how keyboards used to be made (Back in the 90s). They feature individual circuits for each key increasing response time. Under each key is a spring, and a switch. There are various types of switches, each requiring a different type of force, and they also click when you hit a key. They last much much longer than either a membrane or a scissor switch, but are more expensive. A popular brand of keyboards would be FILCO Now the type of keyboard you'd probably want is all preference based. Mechanicals come at more expensive price but last longer and feel better. Membranes are very cheap. Scissor Switches are different and also pretty cheap. I'd recommend a Mechanical keyboard if you can afford one. The cheapest Mechanical on the market is Razer BlackWidow. As for Mouse, it all depends o... Razer has very good mouses at a cheap price.

A lot of people get an awesome keyboard, etc I like my ZBoard - it has 3 layouts that came with it (used from eBay). Regular keyboard, Gaming, and WoW - BC (BC / LK / Cata are basically the same w/ diff stickers). If you or your roomate / gf / bf / etc are prone to spilling drinks / food onto your keyboards, this is the perfect one for you. it also has 2 usb ports out (for like a mouse and a memory stick or ipod hookup, etc) Gaming mouse - the Microsoft X8 is one that I want to get soon (Nesox has it) - more buttons != more skill, more buttons == more utilization especially if you pvp and raid end game
Go for the razer deathadder v2 technically the best mouse on the market. It's not really worth getting if you don't play FPS though, if your looking for a mouse for wow get the razer Naga. Keyboard doesn't make much difference, I just went for the aesthetics.

For what it's worth, I always end up going back to Logitech products. Razer stuff always feels a bit tacky and cheap considering how expensive it is. I currently use a Logitech G19 (got it cheap on eBay) and a Logitech M510 mouse. I like mice where the scroll wheel can tilt left and right, as I bind left & right strafe to it. Just feel intuitive to me. I'm less bothered about my G19 tho. It's nice having a few extra programmable 'G' buttons for macros etc, but it's not necessary really. The other good thing about Logitech is the software used to program your keyboard/mouse buttons, which is pretty easy to use.
I have a Lycosa and Mamba. I like the Lycosa but the keys wear off kinda quick. Maybe it's just the fact that I use it too much. I got the Mamba the day it came out and wouldn't buy it again. The battery doesn't stay charged for very long, the new batteries may be different. It also randomly disconnects, whether it's plugged in or wireless. Then I have to unplug it from the computer, unplug it from the mouse and plug it all back in. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. I also went to the beach about a month ago and came back to the battery doubling in size and popping the cover off the mouse. So now it's only wired. Razer wants almost $50 for a new battery.
