Yeah the amount of time you were botting was not the reason you got banned,
it was the 200 auctions per day (if they were the same item) and selling gold

So im hoping i will be safe questing :)
But thanks for the info, seems alot of people getting the banhammer lately

Selling gold is probably what got him banned, not auctions / day.

I run over 500 auctions per day. I have sometimes run close to 1000 auctions / day. I am diversified though. I sell all cata herbs, all cata ores, red gems, cut red gems, cata enchanting mats, bags, blacksmith rods, glyphs, buff food, volatiles, fortune cards, potions, and flasks.

Auctions a day doesn't really matter as long as it's not 500 auctions of the same thing. My server is dead and we still get morons who bot for 20+ hours and throw EVERYTHING they got on the ah at the end of their cycle. Needless to say, they get reported by about 20 different people for flooding the ah with 200 stacks of whiptail. As for gold selling, you really need a separate account to sell your gold on with a shared guild bank with your main account.

80% of the time you will bet ban for selling gold. Chinese use flaged accounts, when u complete trade with them it flags yours.

I m botting 20 hours a day but I m only doing questing and archeology, nothing like selling material in Auction House. Most people say that questing and profession farming are safe and almost no chance to be banned unless someone reports u.

I still do not understand how blizz makes sure u r botting? how can they understand u give the commands to the game or a bot doing it?

20 hours ago bro GG never bot that long, do 4-6 then break for 1-2/3. i use to do 300-500 auctions per day not 1 single ban from it.

      You get reported

      You are online

they check your background processes, since you gave em permission when starting this game

you got hb in your processes, ban.

they check you, but you are not online, they check your logs, kills made, looted items, etc etc.

suspicious activity, like killing x mob 1500 times, ban.

It's not as simple as that. You think honorbuddy would still be around if they could simply scan for the honorbuddy process like it was nothing? Open wow > login > scan processes > find honorbuddy > ban.

      it actually IS that simple

"When running, the World of Warcraft client may monitor your computer's random access memory (ram) and/or cpu processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with World of Warcraft."

That they CAN does not mean they scan ALL and EVERYTIME, it does say.... "may ". But when you are flagged-reported they can and most likely will to see if your botting. Explain to
me how they can ban some people without chance on appeal cause they KNOW your botting. Why? cause your log said so? killing 100's of same mobs, i could be bored, holiday, on drugs
      or whatever...

I still stand with my point that even even a bot is a paying customer and blizzard is only handeling all tickets / bans to keep the legit players happy.

Nope, they arent allowed to scan outside their "Own" memory section that is allocated to wow.

Has been stated several times by mods and on other websites.

the "agreement" you signed isn't worth the paper it's written on. don't know how it is with US law, but EU laws will never allow violation of privacy as scanning memory outside WoW process.
