Greetings all! Assuming you have achieved a 2nd grade education, this thread will answer every question you've ever had about the universe, including all questions about Demonbuddy. There's some sarcasm present, but it's in good fun!
The first section is general questions relating to DB, the 2nd section is focused on champion hunting profiles and plugins.
I didn't reserve any room in my previous thread so I have remade it here! Please post any comments and questions in this one.

PART 1 - General Demonbuddy Questions

      1. How do I download Demonbuddy?
This is a difficult task. You must click this Download and then you are done.
You'll need a key to use it. Buy the key HERE
You simply extract it into a folder, and you're good to go. Here's a link to the user manual if you need additional help.
After you've downloaded it, make sure to run it as an administrator!

      2. What is a "Session"?
A session is a copy of Demonbuddy running. If you buy one session, you can run one bot at a time.
More specifically you can have Demonbuddy playing one Diablo three account at a time (on one server at a time).
It's not attached to your Battle.net account in any way so you could use one Demonbuddy session to bot 12 hours on one account, and then switch accounts and bot 12 hours on another.

      3. I downloaded the Demonbuddy but it DOESN'T WORK WTF!
You probably didn't read the thing that told you that you need .Net 4.0 and Visual C++ redistributable! Shame on you.
You can either install these by hand, or download This magical program that will do both for you PS: RUN IT AS AN ADMINISTRATOR, same as Demonbuddy itself.

      4. How do I make it DO STUFF??
You'll need to download a profile. Profiles are user created and they tell the bot what to do. Browse through the profile section HERE
For easy access, create a Profiles folder inside of your Demonbuddy folder, and then download whatever profiles you like and place them there.
When you want to use a profile, click the "Load" button on the Demonbuddy main screen.

      5. I previously had a working Demonbuddy, but I updated it and it still doesn't work!
It's best to do a fresh install of Demonbuddy whenever it is updated. A fresh install means downloading the newest version of Demonbuddy, extracting it into a new folder (NOT OVERWRITING YOUR OLD FOLDER), and then downloading and installing the latest versions of your favorite plugins. Sometimes updates break plugins -> check to make sure the ones you're using are compatible.

      6. A new patch has just come out, MY DEMONBUDDY ISN'T WORKING!
Demonbuddy requires updates after a patch. The DB team does their best to make sure releases are timely, be patient!

      7. I cant open more than one D3!
A legitimate concern. There are a few solutions with varying degrees of complexity, I'll mention four of the best ways to do it, from SIMPLE to COMPLEX!

A: Copy your D3 folder. Create a shortcut to Diablo iii.exe from the copied folder. In the shortcut, add -launch to the end of the Target. EX:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo 3copy\Diablo III.exe" -launch
Note: Run this as an administrator.

B: VMware #1: VMware is a program that creates a virtual machine that runs from your computer. It really puts a computer in your computer. You have to either buy this program, or download it from shady corners of the internet. Once you have VMware installed, you're going to need a windows iso. Pick whatever version you fancy, there are certain optimized ones that require less resources (such as windows 7 ultimate sp1 x32 lite v3 by nil-nt.iso) but if you're not comfortable, a full windows 7 iso is fine. Once you have the VM set up, simply drag and drop your Diablo 3 folder from your real computer to the program files on your virtual computer. You'll create a virtual machine for each copy of D3 you want to run, with a separate Demonbuddy folder in each. For added security you can also use a virtual private network to change the IP address on each VM.

C: ISboxer. This is less resource intensive than the first VMware option, but I've never tried it so I can't help you. Sam_m316 sent me this PM that explains how to set up ISboxer. To avoid taking up a ton of space, I posted it in an image. click here for the image CLICKY. Or if you don't want to visit an external site, here's a text file. View attachment isBoxer.txt

D: Vmware #2: There's a detailed guide on how to run multiple bots from multiple VMs in a fashion MUCH more optimized than I mentioned above. Here it is . If you're bad with computers this is probably not for you.

      8. My bot isn't picking anything up/is picking everything up/LOOT IS CONFUSING ME!
You can either find a loot rule to use, or make your life 100x easier and use Giles Trinity Plugin. It's makes it VERY easy to customize what your bot picks up and stashes. In addition, It's a replacement combat routine and world object handler.
I'm not even going to tell you where to get a loot rule, because loot rules suck. Don't use loot rules. Use his plugin!
Download the latest version from his thread HERE

      9. My bot wants me to pick a routine, HELP!
The routine you select is the combat profile the bot uses for killing things. Your built in options are Generic (not recommended, unless you want to customize the settings yourself) or Belphegor (Solid combat, built in avoidance and highly customizable). If you're going to use one of the built in routines, I'd suggest Belphegor.
The recommended option is to download Giles Trinity Plugin. In my experience it attacks faster than Belphegor, features backtracking (to lessen stucks), and most importantly, is integrated with the old Stash Replacer plugin. What this means is that with this plugin you can loot WHILE IN COMBAT. This is huge and results in much less missed loot. Download this plugin here HERE

      10. Who is this GilesSmith fellow and why are you linking me his plugin?
Short version: It works really well, he updates it constantly, and it makes DB function 1000% better.
Long version: GilesSmith is a mysterious figure. Some say he invented the internet. The truth however is that he's a demonic polar bear of frozen doom that shoots lightning from his eyes. He's the Devil from Shrewsbury and if you cross him he will make your Diablo 3 crash even more than it already does.

      11. How do I make money with this bot.
You have two options. Farm gold, or farm items.
      A. Gold farming profiles have been cr?cked down on a lot recently, probably due to the high volume of games they create. It's not impossible to make money by gold farming, and it's certainly possible to avoid the banhammer while being a gold farmer, but in my personal opinion it's riskier. Head over to the profile section to see the profiles available, and try pick one that doesn't have you hitting game limits. People are reporting that this may flag accounts.

B.Champion farming (A1/A2/even A3) involves gearing your bot to take on elites. See Part 2 below for more info.

      12. MY BOT IS CRASHING, WHAT DO I DO (other misc. problems included)
Update to .221 if you haven't already.
If you're having any issue with Demonbuddy that isn't covered above, the general rule of thumb is to come to the SUPPORT forum, and post your problem.
However, simply posting: MY GAME IS CRASHING FIX PLZ is not going to help the DB team solve the issue. If you're having an issue, post your log file. You'll likely be asked to post a log without plugins (even if this isn't always feasible).
Posting an issue with no log is like going into your local computer repair shop and telling them: My computer is broken, tell me how to fix it. Yeah it's broken, but they have no way to see WHAT is broken.
Here's a thread to tell you how to report your issue: LINK
When you don't post your log file, Tony gets angry. Picture tony the tiger after someone stole his frosted flakes. The result of posting an issue with no log will not be good, or great.

In addition, for D3 crashes you can be EXTRA helpful, by posting two additional files.
The first is a portion of D3debug.txt (found in your diablo 3 folder!) Important: DON'T POST THE WHOLE FILE. IT CONTAINS YOUR EMAIL. Seriously. If you post the whole file you should be ashamed of yourself. The part you want is the part that comes after this.
      <ERROR-0>
      ***** UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: ACCESS_VIOLATION (c0000005)
      </ERROR-0>

You can also post the .dmp file from the diablo folder, as I've seen Nesox ask for it before.

      13. D3 crashed and my Demonbuddy stayed open! WTF now my reloggers dont work wtf!

Rule of thumb is you should always check the release thread for the update log! If you had, you would have seen the one that specifically states they disabled Demonbuddy closing upon a diablo 3 crash. This is so the log will (hopefully) include the behavior that DB did that caused D3 to crash. Post your logs to help them fix it. This will be changed back in a future Demonbuddy update.

      14. Is Demonbuddy Safe to use?
Is it safe to steal a candy bar from a convenience store?
Serious answer: Demonbuddy doesn't seem to be detected in any way, or you'd see mass bans. What you see is select cases of bans, typically centered around certain behaviors/actions.
If you don't understand what I just said, I'll explain it further: BEHAVIOR seems to be what blizzard is detecting: Rapid game creation, repetitive behaviors (killin' sarkoth 1200 times per day yo, whats wrong with that?).
I personally have not been banned yet using Demonbuddy, but I'm not saying it's impossible.

      15. Demonbuddy is named Demonbuddy.exe!!! WARDEN IS GOING TO GET ME!
You're welcome to rename it however you like, but it won't make it any less detectable than it already is.
If you don't believe me, here are two quotes from Apoc.
      16. Random stupid questions relating to bans that dumb people ask.
Q.SERVER IS COMING DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE, BAN WAVE?
      A. No

      Q. Is botting before a patch more likely to get me banned?
      A. Is reading a book before you drive to the store more likely to get you shot? No.

PART 2 - Champion Hunting Profiles & Plugins
This section will focus mainly on the Profiles and Plugins maintained by CIGGARC and GilesSmith

      17. What is Champion Hunting, and is it profitable?
Instead of farming sarkoth, or core, or gold, you gear your character to take on elite/champion packs in acts 1, 2, or 3.
It's profitable but it is not consistent. Some day you may find all shitty items, and some days you may get a great piece. It takes patience to sort through and determine how to price.

      18. What characters can I champion farm with?

Barbarian is probably the best class to champion farm with, but Monks/Wizards/WDs can also do it. Demonhunters need a prohibitively high amount of gear due to the inability of the bot to kite well (Belphegor has recently added a kiting option; I'm unsure if it's good enough to be useful.) Barbarians are just really good at champion farming, and will probably cost you less to gear out than other classes.

      19. What champion hunting profiles are available? What one is best?

There are three well made champion farming profiles at the moment, one for each act. All of these require a specific plugin to run correctly, see Q17.
The most refined and fool-proof is currently Act 1 Champion Hunting by Radonic. The profile thread is RIGHT HERE
There is also an Act 2 Profile by CIGGARC. It's got a few more stucks and issues than the Act 1 profile, but it's still excellent if you have the gear for it. Profile thread is RIGHT HERE
Finally, there's also an act 3 profile by CIGGARC, newly released! It's available HERE If you have the gear for it, this is an awesome profile
I'd recommend Radonic's Act 1 profile for anyone new to champion hunting, as the gear requirements are the lowest and it's very, very stable.

      20. What Plugins are REQUIRED?

      A. Trinity, developed by GilesSmith and rrrix
      Combat
Trinity replaces the Demonbuddy combat routine entirely and features avoidance and support for all classes. It seems to attack faster than stock belphegor, and handles avoidance quite well.
It also improves the intelligence and speed of target selection. It lets you set how far away you want to aggro mobs, whether or not to prioritize treasure pygmies, and generally improves combat performance
      Loot
Trinity replaces the default Demonbuddy looting/salvaging/stashing system, and is less prone to errors!
You pick which type of items you want it to pick up
It then evaluates each item you find and gives it a score. Items above a certain score are stashed by default, and those below it are salvaged or sold.
You decide what score you want to set the threshold at for weapons, armor, and jewelery, although the default settings are quite good.
The most important part of this plugin is that it allows looting IN COMBAT. This results in MUCH less missed loot. After I upgraded to Giles Trinity (from the old stash replacer), I saw more legendaries and a much lower miss rate.
      World Objects
Trinity changes how your character deals with world objects such as chests, pots, logs, and other breakables.
It blacklists certain NPC's and items that would otherwise get your bot stuck. It's a must have.

Download this Plugin by clicking this TRINITY PLUGIN

      21. Can I Champion-Hunt without Trinity?
Yes, but I would not recommend it. Trinity's in combat looting is incredibly important, and it's automatic stashing based on scores makes any champion hunters life much easier.

      22. What are the optimal Kill/Loot radiuses for Champion Hunting?
Many of the profiles (such as the A1 profile) automatically adjust this radius to avoid getting stuck. It will override whatever setting you have. For profiles that don't override, check out the thread and see if people have posted any recommendations, or experiment with it yourself!

      23. What kind of gear do I need for champion farming?
Gear requirements vary depending on which class you want to farm with. I currently have barbs and a WD so I will cover those two. If anyone wants to add what is needed for a Wiz/Monk/DH, pm me!

      A. Barbarian - Note: I am covering a cheap basic starter set, there are more advanced gearing options if you have gold to spend.
You'll want to get as much Str/Vit/Allres you can, while trying to get MF too! You can choose to dual wield, use a 2h, or use a sheild for A1, but for a2/a3 I highly recommend you use a shield. Shields are just good.
Try get around 14-17k dps, 800~ All resist buffed, 35k hp, and some life on hit, these aren't difficult stats to obtain.
My weakest barbarian currently has: 18k Dps, 940 AR buffed, 43k hp, and 900 LOH. with these stats he will never die in act one, and only dies around two times per hour in act 2.
More MF = more legendaries and better quality loot.

      B. Witch Doctor - Note: my witch doctor just hit 60 yesterday, and he's mediocre. From my short experience using him, I'd recommend you use a barbarian instead.
You'll be focusing on Vit/Int/Allres/Life on Hit, and trying to get MF as well. MF seems to be more expensive for this gear than for barbarian gear.
My WD currently has 22k DPS, 850 All res, 2300 life per hit. With these stats, it dies maybe one time an hour max in act 1. He's capable of doing Act 2, but he dies to certain affixes such as arcane enchanted waller.

      24. What build should I use?

      A. Barbarian - Note: These builds are both fairly conservative. Some people choose to go more offensive and use Sprint.
Undergeared barb build - Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III Switch out Nerves of Steel for Tough as Nails if you get more armor from it. Try both.
This build is revolved around surviving until you kill things. You'll take almost no damage while leap or overpower is up, and you'll be constantly healing from revenge.
Moderately geared barb build - Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III This build uses frenzy with maniac to increase the damage of Rend with the lacerate rune. Mobs melt when you use wotb + rend.
Well geared barbs can use a specialized throwing build, which I haven't tested and won't be linking.

      B. Witch Doctor - The only build i've tested is this one, courtesy of cdmichaelb
Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III This build uses your pets to tank stuff while you kill them with blazing spiders and locust swarm. Your LOH is what keeps you alive.

      C. Wizard I haven't tried wizard botting myself, but I was linked THIS thread:
Typical Champion Farming or Plugin Issues

      25. What follower should I use?
The follower of choice for a vast majority of champion farmers is the Enchantress.
The reasoning for this is because she offers +15% bonus armor, an attack speed bonus, and will charm monsters for you.
The abilities generally chosen for her are Charm and Powered Armor. The other two skill slots are mostly choice, some players enjoy hex, others want the attack speed bonus.

      26. How should I gear her?
      You have 3~ options here.
      A. MF gear: This is an easy way to get an extra MF bonus if you're lacking some on your gear. You get 20% of your followers MF. This is probably the most popular option for Act 1 Farming.
      B. DPS gear: Buy your enchantress a 2h weapon with high dps and tons of int (and maybe some vit). She'll take care of those pesky ranged mobs that want to bother you while you're trying to teleport.
      C. Legendary weapons: Best option if you've got the gold is to buy your enchantress a Maximus, because the demon it summons hits hard, the fire chain does good damage, and it has high uptime! -> recommended by Dookiepie
Second option is to buy a tormentor, so your enchantress charms even more! -> also recommended by Dookiepie.

I'm currently using my enchantress for MF, but I'm thinking of trying out a Maximus to help with A3 farming!

      27. I saw my bot run past a rare/legendary/GIANT GIRAFFE! why?
This is an issue with Demonbuddy's memory reading. Giles has built in as many safeguards as he can to try prevent it, but sometimes demonbuddy just messes up and will miss your item. It's not the profile, it's not the plugins, it is demonbuddy.

      28. My bot is crashing, what's wrong with the profile.
Demonbuddy is at fault for the crashing, the profile authors can't help you fix it.
Make sure you updated to .221 it's much more stable and almost entirely fixed the crashing issue.

      29. I'm stuck, your profile sucks!
If you're consistently getting stuck in the same spot, take a screenshot and post it in the profile thread. Most authors are very happy to fix their profiles. When Demonbuddy is fixed you can dump markers too.
However, every time you get stuck it's not necessarily the fault of the profile, it could also be that:
You didn't set Giles monster priority handler to ignore treasure goblins, and you chased one to the middle of nowhere and got stuck.

      34. IS THAT GOHAN IN YOUR AVATAR??
Why yes, yes it is. It may not compete with Giles avatar but hey I like DBZ.

Lastly, remember that most of the profiles and plugins you use are made by users.
They don't get paid, they release their work to benefit the community!
So be nice to them :D
Special thanks to GilesSmith and CIGGARC! without them Champion hunting would not be possible!

      PART 3 - Leveling Information!

There isn't one good way to level, and there's lots of debate as to which is the "best" way vs which is the "safest" way.
Some people bot from 2-60, other take the time to hand level their characters.
What I will do here is try to outline some of the various profiles that can be used.
Please read this whole section for disclaimers abut riskiness.

      35. Is there a comprehensive 1-60 profile that I can turn on and be done?
Full Questing - All Acts - Complete - Tested

      36. What are some popular leveling profiles?
I'll divide this section by act.

      Act I.
Wretched Queen (standalone or incl. Sarkoth) - There are lots of versions of this profile available. Download one of these (for the difficulty you want) from Swolbyn's thread HERE

Champion-Hunting - You can use Radonic's champion hunting profile to level as well! Download it in the thread HERE. If you're using it for leveling, you will need to open each .xml file from the profile and change the part that says difficulty="Inferno" to whatever difficulty you want to use it for. EX: to use on normal, it should say difficulty="Normal"

Leorics Manor - Also available from Swolbyn HERE

      Act II.
Lieutenant Vachem - Originally available in this thread by xsilverdice HERE
It's since been edited to contain an additional waypoint to make sure all the snakemen get killed. Download edited versions from My Dropbox

Champion Hunting - You can also use the Act 2 champion hunting profile available HERE. You'll have to change the difficulty of each .xml file, as mentioned above.

      Act III.
Skycrown Battlements - Created by Gingerbread, available in THIS thread. He only posted NM and Hell versions so If you don't want to edit, all three are available in my dropbox HERE

      Act IV.
I don't know of anyone that uses Act IV to level... Act IV sucks.

All of these profiles are available in the Leveling section of my Dropbox, which is linked in my signature and right HERE

      37. Which ones are the riskiest?

      Queen/Sarkoth - Risk 5/5
      Leorics Manor - Risk 5/5
      A1 Champion Hunting - 1/5
      Lieutenant Vachem - Risk (4)/5
      A2 Champion Hunting - 1/5
      Skycrown Battlements - (1.5)/5

      38. How did you determine their risk?
I based risk on a few things, the most important of which was games created per hour. Also taken into consideration were: Did you kill the same thing over and over, and how long you would need to run the profile to progress to the next
Queen, Leoric's, and Vachem all have very amount of games/hour, and you can easily hit the game limit if you leave them unattended. Vachem is rated lower than Leorics or Queen because you probably won't be running it very much, you could use it for 1-2 levels and be ready for Act III.
There's no proof that this flags for bans, but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence.
People bot A1/A2 champion farming all the time in inferno, so I assumed the riskiness of using it to level is quite low.
Skycrown battlements will take your character a LONG time per game. This results in low games per hour, and your character ends up chasing mobs all over the place so it seems more random.
Edit* a day after I posted this, the profile author of the queen/sarkoth run and Leorics manner profiles got banned. These are quite risky, so keep it in mind!

      39. If they are all so risky, how should I level?
How you level is up to you. If you want to be safe or if you want to be risky, it's up to you. There's plenty of people that have survived leveling with queen and vachem, but there's others that ... didn't.

      40. How do YOU level your bots Devious??
This is top secret information. It may or may not be posted on the line below this one.
I opt for a very safe approach to leveling, I don't want to get banned before I have the chance to recoup my costs of the game.
      Step by Step:
Hand level through ALL of Act I. - Yes, I quest through the entire act.
Hand-Level through Act 2 until I unlock the enchantress.
Either Vachem (with breaks) and game delays to avoid hitting cap until 19, or hand level to 19 (recommended).
Buy gear on AH for your character, and start Act 3 skycrown battlements profile. I run this profile until I am level ~32
Buy GOOD gear for your level 32, and start Act 3 skycrown battlements - Nightmare. I run this until I am 53-54
Buy a reduced level requirements weapon for your character to vastly speed up the last bit. It's possible to get one as early as 42 (reduced requirement by 18) but It's much cheaper if you're willing to wait until 45 or so.
Buy GOOD gear for your 53-54, and start Act 3 skycrown battlements. I recommend getting All-Resist on your gear in addition to your primary stats. It helps a lot with survivability.
      You're now level 60. Boom.
It typically takes me about ~16-17 hours from 1-60 using this method. My barbarians had an easier time starting nightmare/hell earlier than my witchdoctor did, but he still made it.

      41. Whats the BEST way?
Experiment and do what you think is best!
Having only leveled 4 characters with Demonbuddy, I am open to any suggestions and additions for this FAQ!

Nope, with good gear you can start botting Act 3 nightmare directly from 32!

      Updated with some follower information!
See #25 and #26. and thank Dookiepie, even though his name is ridiculous.

just got my enchantress a Maximus sword... just a note that the barbarian does infact try to attack the summoned demon. this could be problematic for the bot.

Hey there, we can fix that!
I'll need you to open up demonbuddy, and go let your enchantress attack some mobs. (before you press "start").
Once your enchantress summons her demon, press the "Dump RActors" button in the "Info Dumping" tab.
You'll see some "ActorSNO's" in your demonbuddy window (or, in the log demonbuddy creates - see picture below)
What we want is the one for the demon maximus summons.
Edit* muntahunta found the SNO, updated instructions below!

      ractors.jpg

Once you have this ActorSNO, we can blacklist the maximus demon using GilesMonsterPriorityChanger or GilesCombatReplacer (navigate to the plugins folder and open the .cs file with notepad, or notepad ++)

You're going to look for THIS in giles combat replacer
      Code:
// Special blacklist for things like ravens, templar/scoundrel/enchantress in town etc. etc. that should never be attacked
              private static readonly List<int> listActorSNOIgnoreBlacklist = new List<int> {
                  5840, 111456, 5013, 5014, 205756, 205746, 4182, 4183, 4644, 4062, 4538, 52693, 162575, 2928, 51291, 51292,
                  96132, 90958, 90959, 80980, 51292, 51291, 2928, 3546, 129345, 81857, 138428, 81857, 60583, 170038, 174854, 190390,
                  194263, 5482, 174900, 219702, 221225, 87189, 90072, 107031, 106584, 186130, 187265, 201426, 201242, 200969, 201423,
                  201438, 201464, 201454, 108012, 103279, 89578, 74004, 84531, 84538, 89579, 190492, 209133, 6318, 107705, 105681, 89934,
                  89933, 182276, 117574, 182271, 182283, 182278, 128895, 81980, 82111, 81226, 81227, 107067, 103217, 105763, 110959, 106749,
                  107107, 107112, 106731, 107752, 107829, 90321, 107828, 121327, [COLOR="#FF0000"]249320[/COLOR]
               };
and add the number that is in red!

or find THIS for monster priority changer
      Code:
// Special blacklist for things like ravens, templar/scoundrel/enchantress in town etc. etc. that should never be attacked
              private static readonly List<int> listActorSNOIgnoreBlacklist = new List<int> {
                  5840, 111456, 5013, 5014, 205756, 205746, 4182, 4183, 4644, 4062, 4538, 52693, 162575, 2928, 51291, 51292,
                  96132, 90958, 90959, 80980, 51292, 51291, 2928, 3546, 129345, 81857, 138428, 81857, 60583, 170038, 174854, 190390,
                  194263, 5482, 174900, 219702, 221225, 87189, 90072, 107031, 106584, 186130, 187265, 201426, 201242, 200969, 201423,
                  201438, 201464, 201454, 108012, 103279, 89578, 74004, 84531, 84538, 89579, 190492, 209133, 6318, 107705, 105681, 89934,
                  89933, 182276, 117574, 182271, 182283, 182278, 128895, 81980, 82111, 81226, 81227, [COLOR="#FF0000"]249320[/COLOR]
               };
and add the number that is in red!
This will make your bot ignore the demon, and carry on slaying things!

Hope that helps, and i'd appreciate if you could post the actorSNO for the demon when you find it, so I can add it here and others can use it!

also, you may want to add that SNO 185391 is the number for the little structures that shoot flame in act 3 towers. my barb lost alot of farm time trying to hit them even though they have no health haha.
