Expressing dissatisfaction for paid services not rendered = crying ?

Like when you go to McDonald's and pay for a burger, you should be OK with the burger being 2 weeks late?

      Very good point.

No, they don't welcome it. They patrol the forums seeking to close complaint threads. Examples abound.

Yes it's a paid service, but if they feel the need to take it down for two weeks to get it right, then two weeks it is. I'm sure if you read ToU it would be in there somewhere. It's always in the fine print.

For the most part, I have to agree with the sentiments of the OP.

There is an unfortunate lack of goodwill and understanding from a lot of "members". Let them have their whinge (and look silly in the process). They are afterall paying customer, and it is their right to do so.

At the end of the day, those with more than a single braincell would appreciate that this is not a simple 3rd party service. The bot is a 3rd party product that not only is not supported by Blizzard, but they actively work to break it. Blizzard don't exactly send out a document to Bossland with all the changes to help his team. There are some very smart people, working a lot of hours, to not only make the bot compatible, but continuously enhance it and secure it.

Why people have no patience is probably more a problem for society than anything else.

I find someone bragging they earn more than someone else utterly laughable. Some of us run just as many bots (maybe more!) securing just as much income (maybe more!) and hold down a well paying full-time job as well (and don't actually need to work!). Always have a Plan B! There's nothing to say Bossland couldn't shut this all down tomorrow and where would that leave you? The rival bots are nowhere near the product that HB is.

This happens every xpac - it's nothing new!.. I'd be happy with just having the bot back in time for MoP release.

I'm no fanboy. I find some aspects of the bot to be horrible and some bugs to have been present for years without being fixed. I'll whinge about those somewhere else :) All-in-all though, I'm a happy customer and am enjoying the downtime of not monitoring my bots.

except FB isn't a software designed to bypass another game's constant changes to prevent the software from working correctly. blizzard and most game makers insert changes in order to break bots and/or hacks depending on the game.

also, people complain about everything anyway and have yet to stfu about any of it... what does 2 weeks have to do with it? look at the first day the bot was down ffs.

I didn't even care that the bot was down for this long, unlike other people my life doesn't revolve around the game and botting. So i'm still waiting until a fully functioning version is released.

Too many impatient little kids, this mentality has ruined wow as a whole too.

While I understand botting is the main source of income for some people, I have to wonder where you business sense has gone that you didn't plan for any possibility of downtime.

As a business owner myself, I make certain that I keep enough money "in reserve" to handle costs if profit is low for a month (or more). It's just the way business works. You won't have high profits 100% of the time.

Also, the longer we're offline, the less we make. So the argument is two fold. You make less, and so do we. We don't want the bot down any more than you guys do. (Yes, I realize that sounds greedy, but it is in fact the truth. This is the main source of income for a few of us.) We've been working day and night for 2 weeks trying to get everything working as it should. We actually hit our release date on-time and were probably an hour or two away from a public test release (on Friday), but we turned up some game-breaking bugs with how known spells were handled which caused us to delay even further.

We did our test release yesterday instead (only 2 days late, which all in all, isn't too terribly bad considering the changes we had to make and other bug fixes we included as well). We know stuff is still broken, but the majority of the bot works properly. We'll be pushing new builds daily (probably quite a few new builds a day) until it all works. That's really all there is to it. Over the course of about 5 days, we've pushed almost 30 new builds to developers to ensure everyone can have working bots.

And finally, we don't mind when people complain. More often than not, it's warranted. Some times it's just someone needing to vent (and their posts get deleted for that reason). However, there are times where people complain just to complain. That doesn't help anybody. It's simply a waste of time both for us, and yourself.

All we ask is that you guys are civil, and constructive. You can say you hate the bot if you want, and we'll try and figure out why, and fix it. But don't forget folks, we're not machines. We do get drained out just like any normal person, and we can't work on things 24/7, as much as we'd like to. We do need a break once in a while. That said, it's 3AM and time for sleep. See you folks in the morning.

Thanks Apoc, Ignore the haters.... Don't rush it and release it when it's ready and working perfectly.

      Keep up the good work.

Your missing the point of thier post. Ian was simply saying people are going to complain because they paid for a service and then are unable to use it. Then mentioned how people would freak out if Facebook went down for 2 weeks. A better analogy would have been imagine if WoW went down for 2 weeks. I can understand why people are complaining.

I for one wouldn't mind more status updates on when we can expect things. The mods here are always helpful and generally do a great job here on the forums. I was hoping to get some DMF fishing done this week and am disappointed I couldn't but I'm more then happy to wait for the bot to be working well.

I dont understand these unreasonable childish people that only cry cry cry and cry about hb. I paid lifetime and Im confident in the HB dev-team would not want to release a stable version without testing, and I got no problem playing the game as intended meanwhile. Some people need to get a grip.

Honestly I knew this was coming weeks before HB went down, I'm just wondering how so many others didnt...? When bliz anounced the patch I thought hmmm I wonder how this will affect HB...and I came to the forum and what do you know, I saw several posts about how it was going to break the bot and they would have to fix alot of things.

And mcdonalds is a multibillion dollar company and facebook is multimillion, with a shit ton of employees. No disrespect to HB but they lack the resources that huge companies have. Maybe they should charge more to have more money to throw at problems but something tells me there would be a river of tears over that one.

Thanks for keeping us updated Apoc!
Actually I mean WTF why are you wasting time posting here? Any key strokes not used to code are a waste! And sleep??WTF?? Back to your keyboard with you sir. I have BG's to farm<<<(sarcasm so dont hate)
