So after the new update My Kaspersky Internet Security Poped up saying:
      Honorbuddy Detected: PDM.Keylogger 10/3/2012 10:12:43 AM
Its the first time it has ever happened and I have only been downloading through the automatic update through Honorbuddy. Any feedback to what this is?

      All anti-viruses are terrible.
All they do is steal your performance.

If you're dumb enough to click on shit, then you deserve the virus.
Honorbuddy or any other buddy product for that matter isn't infected with anything.

Even Norton will automatically delete HB from its folder but most of the mainstream anti-virus will think HB is a virus, keylogger, or even spyware so just moderate the settings for your anti-virus... I personally don't use them because most of them are delete programs ask questions later.

Just the first link i clicked

USATODAY.com - Unprotected PCs can be hijacked in minutes

How do i call you a bad name without getting banned.

Please do not listen to comments like this. 99% of people should always have AV if for nothing else to save them money.

"Even Norton" sounds like you think Norton is a great software. Norton Internet Security is crap..there is far better stuff out there.

I've been using HB with Kaspersky as well but I never received any false positive like you did. However, I've been disabling auto protect from running while I'm botting. I did notice the bot runs better (at least for me) while Kaspersky is disabled. I wouldn't be too worried about disabling your AV while botting; unless your on the web doing other stuff while your bot runs of course.

Please don't listen to people who believe you don't need an AV. Given the cost (mostly free with rebates) of most AV software, there isn't any real reason to not protect your computer. People spend hundreds (even thousands) on machines and don't wanna spend a few bucks to protect it - its silly. If your computer is greatly affected performance wise, you may need to consider an upgrade of hardware....

I assume you're not an ex hijacker like I am.
A lot of todays virus can't be detected by anti-virus program etc.
Google the word "FUD" and you'll see for yourself.

Anti-virus programs are a waste of performance and money if you're paying for it.

What a load of nonsense. Every windows PC should have an anti-virus package. In these days of 8GB+ of RAM being standard, an anti-virus program using about 10mb of that is hardly going to affect performance.

I am using Kaspersky 2012, so I wonder why it would give that message for me. Should I do a fresh install of Honorbuddy? Or Perhaps allow the process to be ignored by Kaspersky.

What kind of computer specs are you running? I have noticed that Honorbuddy just stops randomly in spots, mainly in gatherbuddy2, but I thought it was due to the many issues Honorbuddy is going through at this time. In what ways have you noticed a difference in Honorbuddy's performance while Kaspersky was disabled?

Norton is the most downloaded(pirated) anti-virus software so I was just stating one of the top used are bad at understanding what HB is.

Yup. I use Linux at work everyday. The bad thing is that playing on Linux is kinda shitty. Drivers are a pain in the ass for most of the distros and setting a game like WoW on Wine kinda sucks.
If i could play and install all my games easily on a Linux OS without having to do massive amounts of configs that break after a game update I would insta delete my Windows.

I love this type of response. the "Because i did this or that i know everything on the subject".

I worked at a computer store in College and 99% of the computers that came in with problems were Virus/malware related. Know what the first thing we did was?

Bootable NAV disc. and it cleaned almost every one.

PS. AV usually (but not always) means firewall.

Didn't said I knew everything about it. But the statement claiming that an anti-virus will protect you against all viruses is pure bullshit.
