Windows 8

So just wanted to throw out the quick question.... Is windows 8 supported with the current version of Honorbuddy? My only reason for bringing this up is it releases in a couple days and I would figure most people will want to know or see an official post stating it is supported. I for one will be installing it tonight from my MSDN account so I dont want to loose my beloved HB. If you wouldn't mind letting me know an exact answer that would be great, I have already searched all over the forums and couldn't find any official post. I have only seen people complaining about windows 8, sooo it makes me a little concerned.

 

Can't see why it wouldn't.

If it doesn't you can always run it in compatible mode for win7

 

Run WoW as 32 bit with DX11. -> It works.
Running Wow as 64 bit -> No.
Running wow as 32 bit & DX9 -> No

The above is just for me, not sure if it works on other people's rigs.

Myself im not sure if I want to use Windows 8, it's optimized for touchscreen computers etc.
But we will see, maybe it will work, maybe it wont.

 

If I'm not mistaken Windows 8 still has compatibility mode that will run Windows 7 native programs. As for native Windows 8 support, I'm not sure.

 

Yes but that can make programs behave very strange, especially programs like HB2 that connects to WoW memory

 

I use the Bot with Windows 8 since its on our Servers, no Problems here.
