Blizzard just admit botting is a problem and gave the following statement: "Bot programs or /afk bot scripts are a problem, and we know it's gotten worse in Battlegrounds with the release of Mists. We're working with CS and the development team on this. It's unacceptable. We know it. You know it."

Should I be worried about it if I bot BG a lot?

They've always said the same shit, botting is not safe and if you get enough reports / infractions against you, you will get banned simply because blizzard does not want to deal with you.

If you're on a NA server, you're safer than on a europe / asia server. (i know this for a fact.)

use a good cc, etc. You'll be fine, as long as you monitor it.

Botting BGs in wotlk and cata was not really an issue, as there were lots of players on at all times.

Right now, certainly on the EU servers i've played on, its clear to see a sharp drop in player activity. In some of the smaller BG's there have been 2-3 active players per side late at night, it is getting out of hand even I will admit that, so you only have yourselves to blame if you are banned.

The safest option is AV, always has been, always will be. But that is still nowhere near as safe as a questing profile, you will be surrounded by players who will recognise patterns of behaviour and report you.

      Safest>most dangerous = Questing > archaeology/professions/gathering > Grinding > PVP.

HB is really missing some pvp add-ons, like 1-5m spread from friendly units when moving in the same direction, target priority or assisting team-mates, and it needs some work on the BG profiles & path finding, these are the major things that give away bots aside from the lack of talking.

My advice would be to not bot in PVP at the moment, let this blow over, and then go back to botting once the dust has settled. Remember people think the good guys always win, once they see a major reduction in bots, and normality return, they will drop their guard and go back to being good little sheep.

      Take care and botsafe! :)

I bet they will really do something this time, at least to a BG bots. Because the bots in BG is rlly big problem. Its not like when your questing and u see 5 guys grinding some mobs that slows down your quest by average of 2 minute, but when the BG is full of bots, it ruins the whole PVP system.

Even IMO they should do something to PVP bots, its fuckking annoying when I want to play legal with friends

dont ever leave your bot running over night. use it while your at your pc. and as for BG's. if you want to grind. use combat bot or something and just control movment. take frequent breaks. youll be fine

nah, nothing to be worried about, when your in that position sometimes you can talk up the situation. but they've been saying the same thing for years and it hasn't affected us.
