      Greetings Buddies,

      It seems, since the legal flooding started, i am spending less and less time on the forums. It is horrible, since i like to see how and what people think of our products and how we can make them better. And i am missing all that and am not involved in that for the past 3-4 years.

      I checked my postings count for the last 4 years, the forum statistics run since January 2010, and i analyzed the last 4 years out of 7.

      While i had a postings count of 202 in 2013, it dropped to 136 in 2014, went down to 125 in 2015 and managed to drop once more in 2016 to 118(incl. this very post). In sum that is 581 posts or 0.4 posts a day.

      My total count is >5.500, which means that in the 3 years of 2010 - 2012 i managed to write over 4.900 times or 40 posts per day. Quite a desaster if you ask me.

      Now back to legal,

      there is not much going on on legal right now to report about, as the cases in DE, UK and US are still being heavily fighted. Once there are some decisions, i will let you know.

      January will be interesting though;

      as the Federal Court of Justice of Germany will have its decision regarding the Honorbuddy case on 12th of January 2017.
      as the Regional Court of Zwickau has to decide about damages we demand from Blizzard, amounting to not less than 30.000 EUR (25th January 2017).

      Let us hope we win both or at least very big parts of them.

      We at Bossland GmbH wish you all the best and a happy new 2017.

      I'd love to see your thoughts about the blog post that said your chances of winning the case that will be ruled upon on January 12 are about zero.

      Your posts in the past have been pretty optimistic when you think you have a chance of winning. This post contains none of that optimism other than saying you hope you win.

      While we're talking about legal here...What the worst case scenario you see coming from a negative ruling for you and your company? Is HB at an end if you lose?

      Honorbuddy.

      The bot can no longer be ran in Germany at all and now they have a legal precedence set for other countries.

      Your absence on the forums might explain the decision to sever parts of your user community by ending support for the bots they paid for.
