how many bots?
10mil per day per bot.
since monday i sold a pair of pants for 15mil boots for 5mil gloves for 15mil belt for 17mil ring for 5mil ammy for 5mil helm for 10mil...... Thats Mo. Tue. Wed. and so far today.
15+5=20+15=35+5=40+17=57+5=62+10=72/4=18/3=6mil per day per bot and thats just from those drops thats not including gold picked up off the ground other items that sold for 100k-200k, or gems, tomes Health pots.
looks like i should add someore on there just sold a amulet with 37 gold find for 637k a ring with 19 gold find for 423k.
Man next they are gonna ask for screenshots.
I'll try to give my stats without any kind of exaggeration.
I champ farm 2 bots, each of them cost between 5 and 10 million to equip, but I probably could have done it for less if I was more patient. I tried out a new skill build last night that runs Act 1 faster and could do it with less eq, so I would be willing to bet that 5 mil would make a perfectly servicable and fast barb build for Act 1. You could probably spend less, but at the cost of speed. Both bots run with 0 extra MF or GF.
That said, my new fast build is averaging 100k per hour, while my slower build is doing 80k. My Giles settings are only picking up inferno level items, so I don't sell anything and am bringing in about 50 essences per hour per bot (conservative estimate). So, at the current rate of about 1500 per essence, my bots are bringing in at least 150k per hour each in just gold, again with 0 MF or GF. I typically bot an account from 16-18 hours a day just because the tin-foil hat part of me says that its more humanish, so I would estimate my gold income at 2.5 million per day, per bot.
Item drops are harder to quantify. In the past 10 days I've moved about $80 in items on the RMAH, and I have about another $150 or $200 in inventory waiting to sell. I've found 3 or 4 items valued in the $10-20 range, quite a few in the sub-$10 range, a Natalya's something that sold for $25, and a shield that I can't even appraise because there's nothing comparable on either auction house (1550 armor, lvl 63, 12% block, 172 vit, 82 dex, 49 res all, +10 crit%, and more), so I'm holding out for more RMAH activity before I list for $100+.
There are better ways to get rid of gold than to sell it for 50 cents per million, even if gold sales on RMAH are crap. Invest it in equipment you can resell on RMAH if need be, but I would personally just hang on to it, move it to a safer account, and use it to gear more bots.
So... take all that as you will. I would value my bots at between $6 and $10 per day each.
As far as initial investment...
I buy my keys at Walmart because I'm lazy, and I had this silly idea of selling the guest passes for a dollar each before Blizzard screwed that up the other day. Oh well. Maybe next time I'll try to find somewhere to buy these 40 or 50 dollar keys.
I have a set of leveling gear that cost 2 or 3 million, and it speeds things up a lot. It is transferrable! No need to reinvest the time and gold on the auction house for every new bot, just make a mule character to hold 30 pieces of useful gear, give the whole mess to a new bot at level 1, and use Giles auto equipper to handle looking at it. If you're spending keyboard time leveling bots then you're doing it wrong.
As I said above, my level 60 equipment investment is less than 10 million, and I think my next bots will be 5 million or less. The gold should be coming from other bots, so no Blizzard fees there.
Anything else? Electricity? 400 watt system running 10 bots, double that for AC consumption. Maybe say 0.1 kilowatt hour per bot, that's about 1 cent per hour.
Overall, I would estimate my investment in a bot at $63 (with tax) + 5 million + 32 hours, and leveling offsets the cost by 1 million at least, so a maximum of about $70 for a level 60 character with equipment, ready to farm act 1. Buy him a demonbuddy license and you're still under $100. Averaging $8 per day, I would recover a new bot and be making profit in 16-17 days.
Wow 55 days is some really bad botting.
New account. 59.99
0-60 in 2 days, nothing manual, all botted.
2m in gear, gold gained during leveling. No money spent.
Sold an item for 30bucks the first week, and accumulated 20mil in gold.
Second week, 30mil more in gold, 2 more items selling for over 20bucks each.
2 weeks, 50mil gold, $90 in items sold.
Items have paid for the account. The gold is sitting unsold as RMAH is not moving it. But its still there safe. More than paid for the bot in under 2 weeks.
If it costs you that much money to bot, you're doing it wrong. GPH has been nerfed, so guess what? DO SOMETHING ELSE? Adapt! I EASILY have made my money back within 2 weeks of botting champs and this was just botting 6-8 hours a day AND included the time it took to level/gear 2 accounts again.
15M would have me face rolling act 2 champs with a barbarian and I make VERY good money off items from act 2. So I suggest you read up a bit.
P.S. Don't buy keys for $60. I routinely find used accounts for $20.00. It's even nicer buying them from legit players because it gives some illusion that I was actually playing the account for a bit.
i have 100m in rmah at all times which sells for $1.8 after all the fees, i never sell all of it at once now a days but i always manage to sell atleast 2m - 20m from the stack plus around 2items a day for $5 and a couple $30 items a week plus the occasional $50 item. havent had much luck selling items above $50, i have a couple nice weapons that sell for $75+ but not bites. it didnt take me 2months to make my money back, thats just funny lol.
I checked the AH today and gold was going at $0.23 per mil on USD.
Not possible you must have mistaken $0.25 for $0.23 under low resolutions and tiny font size.
the thing i dont get is why you idiots arn't buying ru keys?
I'm more of a paranoid idiot that believe in the following
- Urban Legend that RU keys Accounts are more watched by Blizzard
- Urban Legend that RU client crashes more than US client
- Urban Legend that profiles/routines/loot filters/Giles are more problematic to customize
Found this interesting as all my RU accounts have been banned yet my main which is a non-RU account is still going strong even though it has been involved in everything from the start..
wow. i run a barb with 275 mf no buff, 24/7 act 1 and act 2 switch. i dont make 10mill a day.. not even close.. i used to make alot when i used to run warriors rest however.
I disagree with the urban legends regarding RU accounts. My first set of GF bots were half and half US/RU and they all got taken out together. I've listened to all the theories and really you just have to look human to survive the bans. Sarkoth was ez money when it could go undetected for a week or two, but I'm finding the champ profiles to be pretty rewarding with 150-250 mf. Act 3 will eventually be ideal with the plans that drop but it's quite an investment to be able to survive that as a bot but keep in mind that sometimes you run all day and get nothing. As far as clients definitely go RU because of the price. I'm going to share this; I think it's been posted already on TBF but I don't think many of us are aware of how awesome this little app is.
