June is finally upon us! This thread will go over what to expect the next few months in relation to Exilebuddy and all the game changes about to happen.

Content update 2.6.1 is expected the week of June 5th. Based on the video previews posted, significant client changes are expected, which will most likely mean additional downtime for the beta/release versions of EB. Botting interest has died off significantly over the past few months as Legacy league's interest has dwindled down, so the timing is fine (although inconvenient), but our hardcore users will still be affected.

PoE 3.0 beta starts June 7th. An Alpha version of EB will be worked on to handle that client version (after 2.6.1 is taken care of). The Alpha Forums will be used for all content related to that. Since major client changes will be happening, a user testable version is not expected for quite some time, possibly many weeks up to even a month. In any case, we'll be working on trying to get things updated and working in preparation for the 3.0 release which should be in mid-late July or early August.

Originally, with the PoE beta stated for early May, the plan was to get a 2.6 alpha build of EB out that contained what is talked about in the Big Thread of Upcoming 3.0 Changes! thread. However, since the PoE beta was moved to over a month later, it created an unfortunate scenario where alpha related testing and dev would be too premature, and there's little motivation to invest time updating 2.6 code to the new system when it will require additional major changes. As a result, alpha testing for 2.6 was cancelled, because the expected game changes now will most likely require code rewrites rather than simple updates to the new EB setup.

To put simply, moving forward, expect all code to break, and for the next new era of code development to start for Exilebuddy/Path of Exile. This has been the norm since we started back in 2013, and it will continue to be the case until the game reaches the "stable, completed" phase and only receives content updates.

Anyways, this is just the initial heads up for users to know what will be going on soon. Exciting times are upon us again, and we look forward to bigger and better things with Exilebuddy and Path of Exile. More information on Alpha and the PoE Beta will be posted when available, but expect things to start out slow as with any new major update.

is there any chance going forward to share GIT/svn repo where the plugins that's bundled with EB? merging custom changes every patch is getting a bit out of hand and this QoL would really improve merging. would also enable some pull requests/patches to streamline community contribution.

thank you for all the hardwork pushedx!
