So I've noticed this problem then saw somebody else post about it: Anybody know what causes this or how to stop it? I'm not getting stuck, just running across an open area and every so often I double back a couple steps once or twice or three times. Happens alot actually, I notice it more when I'm on my mount. My wife even noted it. I don't think I've seen it on anything but Grindbot and ground mounts. Thanks!
Log attached, sorry I may have jumped the gun I wanted to fully review before I put up. I've included a snippet from the attached log and had to delete about 10 minutes as it was over the allotted size. I am trying to teach myself more of this stuff as I have time and prefer to have a possible solution before I take up to much time asking for help. So here is what I think I'm seeing that maybe causing it. There are several "Avoid" mobs listed that reside in the area, one of which is a neutral that is rather prolific throughout the grind area. Not sure why it's on avoid. I've actually just changed the profile on my desktop. It appears that every time it tries to avoid a mob, it regenerates a path and briefly does a 360 while avoiding said mob. As a consequence of this action the character can run several small circles while avoiding multiple mobs in succession. This theory fits the other profile I had some issues with as the area I had issues in there were some avoid mobs, it was also a skinning profile in a lowbie zone and I didn't want to be killing mobs just to loot worthless stuff! So, that said, here are my questions. 1. Would more Hot Spots help as it would define the area better and you could have fewer instances of avoiding? 2. Is the avoid distance at all related to the pull distance? (I tend to set pull distance a little high and mount up distance higher when using grind bot, I find it helps keep me from mounting up for 2-3 seconds to move 5 yards to get right back off and kill a mob when I would have just turned and walked the 2 steps!) 3. Am I off my rocker? (I am, but am I about this, I don't think it's relevant, but it could be!)
