[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

Working on 2k rating for this season :3.

A few macros for people having trouble with wanting to cast something in the middle of the rotation:

Pretty much same format for any spell you want to cast on demand.

think arcane mage rota is wrong or not working well for me.

He should use this correct priority list (Arcane Mage DPS Rotation, Cooldowns, and Abilities (WoW MoP 5.4) - Icy Veins). The noxxic Priority List is incomplete without t16 gear!

1. Apply Living Bomb or Nether Tempest.
- When you have a large damage-increasing proc (trinkets, weapon enchants, etc.), you can refresh your bomb a few seconds before it expires, otherwise refresh it after it explodes.
2. Cast Arcane Missiles when you have 4 (and only 4!) stacks of Arcane Charge Icon Arcane Charge.
3. Cast Arcane Barrage when all the following conditions are met:
- you have 4 stacks of Arcane Charge;
- you have no proc of Arcane Missiles;
- you have less than 2 stacks of Profound Magic (only applicable if you have the Tier 16 2-piece bonus).
4. Cast Arcane Blast

When i got 4 stacks of arcane charge and 2proc of arcane missle, the routine cast 1st arcane missle and after that a arcane blast before cast the 2nd missle. He should use both arcane missle procs and than cast an arcane blast and reset or cast a new arcane missle proc and then reset.

I think the problem is that the spellmanager doesn´t find the spell "pet freeze"
i use german hb and german wow client
I have tested the english wow client no success
i refresh all files hb/tyrael/portal-cr - doesn´t work

i have taken your pvp string on dummie for this example (Portal - pvp)

I have tested it on my second mage (pve) Pet freeze works fine in pve & pvp
but I have no idea why it doesn´t work on pvp mage

 

It will switch if it needs to (and targeting is enabled of course), but it won't just switch targets based on fight mechanics.

Yeah this is how I do it, combined with manual cast detection and it's pretty easy to get casts off.

Thanks - I'll change it to 2 stacks of Profound Magic.

Make sure you have the ability on the pet's cast bar. Pet abilities need to actually click the spell on the pet's cast bar to work.

Do people actualy use noxxic? My mind boggles if they do it's even worse than simcrafts standard 1000irt sims. If anyone ever listens to one thing I say it should be to avoid noxxic like the plague cus it's bullshit.

 

Dilbog, I've read that before, and also about Icy Veins. Ppl always tend to know better. What I do not understand is, why do ppl like Noxxic and Icy-Veins spend SO much time in a very nice site, talking to high end raiders, making it readable and understandable, usable for us "normal" ppl, if all they put on that site is sh*t anyway?! Why spend SO much time of your life on something that's no good at all? I can not understand that. It must be based on something, all that info? In other words, how can it possibly be rubbish?

 

I'm with dilbog on this one. Noxxic rarely update their site, it's always pretty far behind. They update the critical stuff, but never focus on maxing DPS.

Icy Veins on the other hand is pretty good. They update whenever necessary to add all of the tips and tricks.

 

Going off-topic a little, but I'm using Icy Veins a lot too and notice that a lot of articles have not been edited for months. Noticable by sentences like: "We feel like Glyph X is the strongest now in the BETA/PTR but when MoP is released we will test this again". That does not sound up to date AT ALL, and I see these kind of remarks on a lot of classes/articles.

 

Yeah, some bits and pieces don't change and could do with a bit of work, but most of it is updated.. i.e:

I think Icy-Veins is a great site and in a different league to Noxxic which for the most part seems to be where very ill informed spend most of there time and also Noxxic own numbers are very misleading because they are patchwork style fights based on single target burst damage which is total rubbish and in no way a general indication of how a class will perform in any full duration modern fight. The forums there have some interesting pieces of information but on the most part the information is fragmented or simply incorrect and that's what I base my opinion on.

 

Thanks for your time and answer. I like Noxxic for it's cleanliness and readability, but Icy Veins looks more pro. I just noticed it had/has a lot of articles based on the beta/ptr of MoP and have not been edited since. I also noticed Noxxic and Icy Veins differ a lot from eachother, so it's difficult to know which one to follow.

 

Do you say that arcane is the specc that wins over all the three so faar ? Using this bot that is.

 

Somewhy switch doesn't work for Raid Bot, but works for Tyrael. Profile settings are the same. I like Raid Bot more then Tyrael but it seems have no choice ><
Cannot test for LazyRaider because it freezes forever for me when reaches "follow tank" range I'll try to get it work and will test.

 

Frost and Arcane are pretty good. Fire is flagging behind a bit.

Raid Bot is checking you already have a valid target (not friendly, not dead) before calling the combat routine. Tyrael doesn't.

Millz, I have noticed that when I press burst the CR will use Berserking (good). However, if Time Warp is running, it will not user Berserk. Is this by design?

 

Millz, dont know where to post this but its related to BGFarmer. Whenever using Singular, it stands there trying to mount, but its a no go.
