So ive been using honorbuddy for acouple of months now with no prob at all and out of the blue i tried to open it last night and nothing happens. So i kept trying and then eventually opened my processes to see what was happening and it would pop up there for about 2 seconds and then close and COM Surrogate would appear, 2 or 3 of them. it doesnt open, doesnt give an error, and doesnt give a failed to open msg. If anyone knows anything about this or can help id be very greatful. Running on Windows 8.1 -Intel i5-4570 3.20GHz -8GB Ram -64-bit -Geforce GTX 660
try using the installer to install honorbuddy. http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewestInstaller?filter=Honorbuddy
So i figure the problem out, and for anyone with a similar problem he is the solution. Update your nvidia drivers, nvidia cards are very picky and will end up using COM surrogates to crash many applications when they are not up to date.
