So, I saw this video posted by Bossland and found it interesting that he managed to get the CPU/RAM utilization down to about half of what mine is for each wow client and my computer is similar (slightly better) to the one he used for the video. I would like any advice on how to optimize the wow clients beyond lowering all of the game settings. The only thing I could think of for dropping CPU utilization was memory searching for the game loop and inserting a sleep for 30ms or so.

Also, what were you using keyclone for? Wouldn't the characters be out of sync due to the bots? Or were you using it to do something else?

Im using a program called "Game Booster" from IObit. It works by temporarily shutting down unnecessary processes and services, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance.
Works pretty well for me :)

Lower all res on WoW.

If you?re using multiple cores (4 ect.), then turn them on in the WoW folder.

Have a program (like TuneUp) to maximize your computer settings for gaming.

Hey again:

Just ran 12x WoW screens on my computer, too see how CPU power it would take.
12x WoW.jpg

It took up 70% of my 2 out of 4 cores running 3,2Ghz. It also took around 70-75% of my RAM usage, which is around 35% just running W7 and a few apps.
Phenom II x4 955 BE, HD 4890, 4 Gb RAM.

150 mb of memory per client? thats insane.. I'm running 4 clients and each one takes up 300mb of memory.

Although two of those clients are currently in AV.. lol

I was referring to bosslands video :)

And I just installed Game Booster, each Gatherbuddy client is running at 150-170 mb of memory, Honnorbuddy clients are running at 200-220 mb of memory :)

I'm guessing bosslands uses keyclone because you can use it to start up basically infinite numbers of wow on Multiple computers. Since he runs more than 1 machine with bots keyclone allows him to

1. start up 8 wows on more than 1 machine automatically (keyclone works like a server client app and can talk to more than one instance of keyclone on multiple boxes)
2. resize the windows and make it all look pretty.

you will noticed that he has the keyclone ability paused (the "muted" box on the video) so atleast in the video he isn't using keyclone to clone keys.. just as a login and window organizing application.
S
I have tried to use keyclone in the past but I could never get my gatherbuddy/honnorbuddy processid's to match up to the instances of wow so I just gave up and used Syrelog (which I personally prefer since you don't have to enter any passwords. But you can't load multiple instances of wow on different machines with one click.)

Ever since patch 2.3 wow has auto-detected quad core processors.. so you should already be utilizing all 4 cores.

Although if you want to modify the config file yourself this thread on the official wow forums has great info:

well in the wtf one it says only 3 instead of 15 like they said it should be changed to and what not trying to get the best out of it while gaming becasue i built this computer by scratch not no factory built bullcrap, also anyone have a program to recommend for heating cores ect, and showing how much a core is being used cant find nothing like it wanna see what cores are and arent being used and what not ect.

just set it higher.. so like /console maxfps 60 or something. Or if you really think you need more than 60 fps at any point in wow you could do /console maxfps 120 if you really feel like it :p but for botting you will never need higher than 25 fps thus why I recommend capping it at that.

If you use cleanmem its reducing ur program responce time its not worth using allways.
