Well enchanting can be helpful if you get a lot of green loot, otherwise there are a lot better ways to make money botting.

Quit enchanting, grab mining. Level a DK to 65 and level up JC / Enchant on that DK and profit.

Definately quit chanting, its a waste of lots of money, and mining is far greater money maker than it.

Enchanting sucks bigtime. Even JC on my server is bad, I just herb and mine now, 6 hrs a day, make about 2-3k a day. Raw materials sell for more on my server than any item you need to craft, saves me heaps of time without having to swap between characters to manufacture goods.

If you are farming then definitely quit it. More nodes to gather means less timing flying from node to node and more profits

It depends on your sever. If saronite is overflooded and not worth much I do engineering to go with herbing in scholozar. You get 2-3 stacks of eternal fire per bags full with(32 slot bags). On one of my servers Eternal fires sell for 50g each. You get either 2-4 crystallzed fire from every single cloud in scholozar.

If you prefer to bot in Stormpeaks or Icecrown keep mining/herbing as those clouds only give crystallized water and air which is not worth it at all IMO.

I dropped 450 enchanting and 450 tailoring for herbing and mining without a second thought a couple of days ago. Have 450 mining and herbing and am botting scholozar as we speak.

Why not just level a few characters up to 65 (level requirement for profession mastery) and have all the professions? On my character I use with gatherbuddy I have Mining/Herb, another has Enchanting/Alchemy and the last has BS/JC. Just from gathering I can supply all my other professions. I can still sell mats but when prices are good I can make a whole lot of shit which I then sell.

IMO I wouldn't drop a prof that takes a long time to skill up, for one that the bot can skill up by itself. I'd just level a dedicated toon to farm herb/ore, or whatever combo is more profitable (clouds/ore, clouds/herb, etc) But that's just me.

its honestly easier to bot up another 80 (like a failknight) vs dropping enchanting. it was always a PITA.

make him engy / miner. you can power level engy in about 1.5 hours or less and ~2k

enchanting, engineering are non-profit professions, but they produce remarkable 'effects' and well as enchance gameplay, like engineering rocket boots belt helps in pvp alot.
But you often lose money, good idea to have one or both of this professions on your main, which spending is not a concern.

I dont know why you think enchanting is a non profit profession. I make a lot of gold off my Landslide, power torrent, and waterfall enchants like nobody's business.
