      Hey!

So we've all heard your reasonings for staying 32-bit client due to not needing the extra ram memory that comes with 64-bit etc. But reality is, Blizzard could easy exclude accounts that ran 64-bit from being botters. Narrowing it down to 32-bit clients probably made their job easier.
I don't know how far or not you've come with updating HB, but has it not crossed your mind to launch a 64-bit client to combat this?

As soon as you mention 64 bit thread gets closed, I dare say at this point in time it's to much of a headache.

In all reality they will eventually have to make it a 64bit as the future of the game develops. Which is a good enough reason to start a 64bit version , (who knows if they did start it..)
Unfortunately I'm sure 32 bit could be used for still a long time.
But you would think that with the gained security that 64 bit COULD possibly provide and how boss land cares for it's customers as much as they say, that they would have a better answer than "fuck that too hard and annoying" *tthread closed*
Anyway too much really tbh. Just my piece of mind on it

There is no security in 64bit client. Learn something about 64bit programming and you will realize, how dump your questions about 64bit HB are.

there is nothing stopping them from applying exactly the same detection to 64 bit so I'm not certain why everyone seems to think its going to help

remember by law they are limited to their own memory space and server side detections.

The fact that blizzard will have a harder time with 64 bit = more security.
Instead of "Oh hey this guy is on 32 bit let's check that first"
Doesn't take a programmer to figure that out

What the... How will they have harder time with 64bit? Detection code is exactly same.

By 64-bit security, you mean 64-bit encryption. Since HB doesn't use any type of encryption, your statement is completely false.

Re-programming the bot to 64-bit, as it's been already said, does not make HB more secure.

This thread is going to be closed anyways. The HB team has said time and time again that 64 bit HB won't happen.

Because us, on 32 bit. Are just sitting ducks to them. Blizzard will have to look into different ways OTHER than what bit we are running the client on. Do you not see what I mean lol..?

This literally took me 30 seconds to google, find, copy, and paste.

"As the number of bits increases there are two important benefits.

More bits means that data can be processed in larger chunks which also means more accurately.
More bits means our system can point to or address a larger number of locations in physical memory.

32-bit systems were once desired because they could address (point to) 4 Gigabytes (GB) of memory in one go. Some modern applications require more than 4 GB of memory to complete their tasks so 64-bit systems are now becoming more attractive because they can potentially address up to 4 billion times that many locations.

Since 1995, when Windows 95 was introduced with support for 32-bit applications, most of the software and operating system code has been 32-bit compatible."

      ^ this

Detection will not be hard to implement.

Though 64 bit hb support would be good, especially as the wow client alone runs smoother when you set everything to max..

It does not present any additional security benefits though like some here seem to parrot.

Do you really think, that blizz is spearfishing everyone, who use 32bit WoW?
As I said, there is no security in 64bit not even obscurity.

The point is if the majority of people are under 64 bit it makes more admin for Blizzard, if you blend in the 200k + honor buddy users with the rest of the world, you will find when a ban wave does occur a shit storm will erupt since you will get x amount of false positives, many people getting accounts back with appeals even though people like you or me were botting so it does have a positive side.

This statement reminds me of that one joke:
You know why they call it the Xbox 360? Because when you see it, you spin 360 degrees around and walk away. ::troll joke

No, just saying that only people with shit pc's run 32 bit wow client. And WoW is auto set up for 64 bit, unless it's manually changed. You don't think they even looked at that to help them identify botters?

Except if you spin 360, you'd be facing the same direction you were before turning 360, so you'd be walking toward it once again

      Dumbass :)

Which would be amusing if it was an Xbox 180. Turning 360 degrees means you will still be looking at the damn thing.

Instead of debating 32 bit and 64 bit, clearly we will have 32 bit until the devs decide otherwise, it would be nice that someone with some expertise that could actually go into more detail, elaborate why 64 bit would be a pain to implement other then the fact you upset everyone running on a crappy 32 bit setup?

Welcome to 2007 sir. That was the biggest troll joke on the Internet. The whole point was 360 degrees meant you'd be facing the same way.

      You not-so-smart posterior end.
