Me being one of them, how has BossLand improved the bot's security? Are we safer than we were back in May? Let's be honest here, people continued to get banned every day. Now before anyone replies "botting will never be safe" and/or "you accept the risks when you bot" I think it's also Bosslands responsibility to to let the community know that this bot appears to be no safer than it was back in the mass banwave in May.

100,000 accounts are a little more than a month away from being active again. Have we learned about how Blizzard busted thousands of accounts? Have we improved the security of the bot? Have you invested time and money into helping us safeguard the accounts we use or are we all lambs awaiting the slaughter?

I loved honorbuddy. It was the best bot out there. It provided me countless hours of character advancement that otherwise I would not have the time to dedicate too. For me, not being a gold farmer, it helped level the playing field. But until there's some level of reassurance that the current bot is different, improved, "safer" (nothing will ever been 100% safe) than it was back in May, honorbuddy is finished in my book.

It would be nice if Bossland responded to the community on this before the 6 month ban is lifted on all those thousands of accounts. These very same questions will be on people's minds when November 13th rolls around. The state of the bot should be addressed to the community, even if it painfully means being brutally honest and admitting that you're account are at HIGH risk with continued use of honorbuddy.

And if there has been advancements, if there has new measures put in the protect our accounts from bans, by all means, tell us it's safer. But be honest. Don't continue to sell a product that at this time runs a higher than normal risk than it has in the past.

You accept the responsibility tbh when you use the product. That being said, just casual botters doing low risk things like garrisons/private questing is safer than ever right now. i've been going crazy and nothing has happened. I have a very hot ip/mac/etc, yet they don't particularly care.

Dont be that guy. Seriously read the forum, you are not the first to ask this. However im gonna answer your questions to the best of my capabilities:
1.1 how has BossLand improved the bot's security? - The security is as good as ever. Its never publicly been made clear what made the bot become detectable (if it even was detected, could have been based on player reports). Its hard to improve security, when you are not sure what happened.
1.2 You are NEVER safe when botting. Dont ever ask that question. If you dont want to risk your account, dont bot. There i said it
1.3 Bosslands responsibility to inform if its any safer now then in may: You got banned, DEAL with it. Dont blame the bot, blame the player for botting. You got hit dude - suck it up. I got hit, my first and only ban so far, got a new account the day after and i've been botting since the bot came back up. Bossland has always said they are keeping the bot as safe as possible. The banwave in may as not the first banwave. Why should it become some sort of milestone.
      2. 100.000 accounts about to be reactivate:
2.1 Have we learned about how Blizzard busted thousands of accounts? - No we havent and we prolly never will be 100% sure.
2.2 The bot is as secure as ever
2.3 Have you invested time and money into helping us safeguard the accounts we use or are we all lambs awaiting the slaughter? Now you are just blaming the bot for getting you banned. Fun fact: Not everyone got banned. I hadnt been online for 30 days and got banned. Some people had botted immensely more then me and didnt get banned. There is a theory, that those who got banned, got it based on player reports. Blizzard noted them down and store it. So they could hit as many as possible later. The crime was done, no need to rush the ban. Since there is no way of knowing precisely what got us - there is a chance that you got yourself banned. Stop blaming the bot - you accept the risk when you bot.
3.1 Please keep thinking "honorbuddy is finished in my book" and stay away then. Cause its been working ever since you got banned. You have no idea what you are talking about? you have posted twice on the forum, been a member since january and you have been gone since may. Your opinion is not useful and you are not helping the bots progress in anyway with this heavily subjective post, filled with lack of documentation for your claims.

IF Bossland choices to come with a statement to those who got banned in may, which they sort of already did after the ban, then it will be a pure service message "Its working fine". Dont expect an apology from them, which is what I think you are truly fishing for.

The bot is currently working (tho being patched as this very posting moment) and ive been botting for 4 months now since the ban - without getting banned. The bot is as safe as ever. Dont bot, if you dont want to lose your account

When the ban wave hit in may, i hadnt been online for 30 days.

They are prolly just waiting :)

Im only using Enyo+Tuanha to pve. Nothing else to do really, since pvp so broken, even the best bot cant give an advantage.

you and your safety crap, botting is and never will be safe, ever.

blizzard showed, when they want us gone, they massban us whenever they want.
we are part of this game, any big game, without bots games never live so long.

Its that thin line of acceptance. Prior to may banwave, the official forums exploded about the bots.
Thats when blizz takes action. When it gets out of hand.

Other then that we are givin them an income as well, against the tos or not.

Tokens and boosts feeds botters, feeds them. You get banned and 5 min later your botting again.
Blizzard acts on player reports, if no one ever QQ'd, no one would be banned.

Since the ban I got 2 new accounts, botting only on one of them since honorbuddy came back up, mining/herbing to pay the monthly wow subscription :)
First time I used the bot was on my 6 years old account...lost it :) so now I know, I take a chance while botting and ready to pay the price.

I do not think blizz will be happy to go for another ban wave, considering they lost at least 40% of their subscriptions/player 2 months ago :)

How could you increase security when u have no clue where the invulnerability was?

Nope - same song and dance around here. Bot on it, expect to lose it. Blizzard has been ban happy lately too.. It's a shame considering they finally realized that millions of subs a good game does not make. Yet they made abysmal design decisions that ruined the entire genre for 10 years based on bringing in the masses.

Now they just ban the long term users and keep around the people who are new, retarded, a revolving door, or all of the above.

Always tell my wife, you don't get rich by being smart. It's the idiots that go places in life. Any job that takes common sense and intellect doesn't tend to pay very well relative to the grand scheme.

      Anyways

PS (I've been banned 4 times since 5:13 so ...) all wod non dungeonbots, farmbots, bgbots, or ahbots

Who cares? Botting has been more fun than actually playing the game for some time

Your account got busted for botting mate. Don't think for a second that you're not flagged with a giant neon sign pointing down at your account saying botter. You start botting on that account again, you most probably will get caught.

ummm  they lost 100,000 accounts, i would not say that is anywhere near 40% even with the all time low subs of 5mil+ currently.........

Vartego is talking about the loss of subs, not the banwave, WoW has gone from ~10 million to ~ 5 million subscribers. The Real player numbers are probably drastically lower. But honestly the estimated 100-200k botters are a drop in the bucket for Blizzard's profits. They definitely make more money off of real players who buy mounts and character changes and wow tokens, don't feign a feeling of safety because you think you are valuable to blizzard.
