      A mystery/enigma for the HB Community!

      So I had this same problem with HB on the PC a while ago. So I ran WoW and HB on my laptop with no problems. However, my laptop gave up the ghost last night. I removed all unnecessary programs on my PC and I always make sure no other applications are running in the background that would interfere with WoW or HB. I run it in DirectX-9, Windowed with the 32 Bit Client. I have the .NET Framwork installed as well.

      I've added images of all the programs I currently have installed on my PC. I'm wondering if I'm missing a program or some kind of c++ or if I need to get rid of one. If I had to guess, I would say the error in my HB is coming from the Compiled Assemblies when HB tries to start up.

      When I run the honnorbudddy.launcher it takes me to a WoW sign in that says I can upgrade to Cata! I already have two accounts upgraded to MoP! Not sure why the Launcher would do that either. Then when I get to the Realms screen, I don't see my realm on the list or any of my toons....very strange, like HB is trying to connect to an earlier version of WoW. I uninstalled WoW and did a fresh install of that too...still get same problem. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

      remove:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
      - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

      restart your pc,
      download the installationwizard from here
      run it as administrator.
      after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      restart

      Still crashing. Should I change my compatibility settings so that HB and WoW are running in compatibility mode for Windows 7? New log attached.

      Edit: tried changing compatibility mode for both wow and hb to windows 7. hb still shuts down on start up.

      go into your honorbuddy folder, and delete the entire "compiled assemblies" folder.

      after that.

      download the tool from this thread, unzip it. then to run it, right click the executable, and click "Run as Administrator"
      after its done, restart your machine.

      Same crash upon start up. I noticed that the SQL 2008 64-bit I have installed isn't working properly. Would that cause a problem with the compiling? I tried uninstalling it but I kept getting an error saying some registry problems with the SQL were missing. Log attached is from after performing your tasks above.
