[Herb] [Mining] Ryan's Outlands Mega Route - 4 Zones - No Elites

I am currently using this profile with a level 70 geared with Wrath greens.



DISCLAIMERS

• I exclusively use Paladins. Using any other class may not perform as well.
• If the bot skips a node, there is probably a reason that it was blacklisted. This could be a buggy node, too many deaths at a given node, or other reasons. Dont worry. The bot will harvest more herbs/ore than you can shake a stick at.
• With this particular profile, depending on where you are when repairs/mailing is needed, the bot may run into mountains. However, they are in remote areas with no players and the bot eventually makes it over. This is especially true with Nagrand as the bot flies to Zangarmarsh for repairs/alt mailing.
• Currently, if the bot leaves to mail loot to alt from Nagrand, it will go to the Nessingwary expedition on the northeast side of Nagrand and repair. It will then forget to mail and enter an endless loop of bags full harvesting/repairing. This issue is being resolved by Hawker and will be fixed in the next GB release. With four zones this rarely happens though.
  
• It is your responsibility to download the attached Badnodes.xml to avoid death, especially on repair runs. Do not post here saying you're running into the elites on repair runs if you haven't downloaded the Badnodes.xml. DOWNLOAD THE BADNODES.XML!

This profile features:

• Full zone harvesting in Hellfire, Terokkar Forest, Shadowmoon Valley, and Nagrand
• Elite mob avoidance
• Avoids overpopulated mob areas
• Avoids overpopulated questing areas
• Badnodes are extensively tested to reduce stucks/falls

Herb Nodes:

• Felweed
• Nightmare Vine
• Dreaming Glory
• Terocone
• Golden Sansam
• Dreamfoil
• Mountain Silversage

Ore Nodes:

• Fel Iron Ore
• Adamantite Ore
• Khorium Ore (rare from Adamantite)

Useful Macros:
Transform Motes into Primals upon mounting (place macro where you would place your mount on your action bar 3 button 1. This will allow you to save bag space, requiring less mail runs, and giving you more harvesting time.

Testing now.

Gets close to the ally fp quest hub spot south of The Legion Front. With me being horde wasn't good. Would go down to herb then get attacked by guards, and the guards would spawn for ever till I would die. The Grave yard being close to spinebreaker. Would rez, get back on path. And go straight back to same herb, attacked by guards, die. Rinse repeat.

Added badnode and continued. Will post results in morning.

Ok morning time.
Test bed I used. 2 bots.
Bot 1 was 80 dk with Master flying, and frost spec for the pale horse mount buff. Tauren for the faster herb.
Bot 2 was 80 shaman with Master flying.
Both set to herb, 3 herb bags on each. 8 hours, no repair, rez and wait if die.
I started bot 1, waited hour or more. Started bot 2. The thing I worried about did happen. So not sure if valid test or not. The faster one slowly caught up with slower one. Then I think they both just stayed even rest of way. Looking over report shows a lot of the "skip node cause of other bot there" thing.
I Watched for few hours while watched netflix. Then went to bed.

The 2 deaths on bot 2 was due to the guards by ally fp.
So looks like got good amount. They both stopped same time so guessing I lost connection.
Will use again. Got good variety of herbs to throw on AH. Or mill down for glyphs.
Bot 1 had advantage of faster mount speed, along with faster herb times. (not sure if that helps or not with GB)
Plus no 15 min wait on rez sicky.

 

I hadn't had that problem, my toons are horde also, but I added it into the badnodes.

I also updated a Nightmare Vine that is surrounded by a bajillion mobs.

Ah you're right. I think I did have that problem. I was thinking you were talking about Shadowmoon Valley. Hellfire, with those elite mobs right next to the Felweed. I gotcha.

Already sold it all as well and made x2 as much as a wrath farm equivalent in the 4.0.3a market !

 

The profile is pure awesomeness, but I just can't get it to mail loot to my alt. It uses hearthstone even when my settings speak otherwise.

Edit: It mailed items this time, nothing changed in settings though.

 

This profile will probably make people earn even more when Cata hits. People are still going to level profs and alts.. Do they want to go to Outland and farm all nodes? No, probably not.
Prices seems to go higher once they get "older", because most people don't farm 'em. Demand stays the same or grow, but the competition gets lowered.

 

What do I do with the badnodes.xml file?

 

I'm guessing this is Horde-only?

 

Put it in the same folder as your Gatherbuddy.exe file.

 

I haven't personally tested it with an Alliance toon, but as far as I know it does not run through any Horde towns in particular. Close to Thrallmar, but not where it will get you killed.

 

lol i saw 2 lvl 74 DK's in the same guild both with 450 mining and herbing runing this profile today on my server.. word to the wise man, when your 2 DK's who are lvl 74 and still wearing the original quest reward blue gear from lvl 58 are flying the EXACT same route, it looks very bottish.

hey man, could you plz make a version without SMV?

there are immune monsters, and other crap that keeps killing me all over the map

 

Found some program and removed SMV completely because I hate it.

As far as I know, if you have my badnodes downloaded, SMV shouldn't be a problem. My sister and I use this profile from about 65-70 and we've covered just about every mob laden node that there is. We're pally's though. Class difference might change things.
