      OK, seriously, how can you make it use 150mb of memory? I have everything down, used these macros:

      Macro1:
      /console groundEffectDensity 16
      /console groundEffectDist 1
      /console detailDoodadAlpha 1
      /console horizonfarclip 1305
      /console farclip 177
      /console characterambient 0
      /console maxfps 15
      /console smallcull 0
      /console skycloudlod 1

      Makro2:
      /console lod 1
      /console lodDist 50
      /console mapShadows 0
      /console anisotropic 1
      /console fullAlpha 0
      /console MaxLights 1
      /console gxVSync 0
      /console frillDensity 1
      /console specular 0
      /console pixelShaders 0
      /console maxfpsbk 10

      and turned all addons off. Also i have lowered resolution. And still best i can do is 220-230mb ram when the character stands still. Any tips? Bossland?

      230mb is low, lol.

      I recently formated, and I cba making a new WoW install (I am starting with WoW 4 fun again - that's why) - so I am running with 'raid settings' (that means highest on everything except shadows), and each WoW session takes 1.5-2gb.

      If 230mb is too much, I think you should upgrade your RAM. My 6gb didn't cost that much - and if you compare the preformance to the 2gb before, it's so worth it.

      Good luck.

      Not too much. I am just wondering how he did it, cause i don't see anything i missed. I am botting 3 accounts currently, and i don't raid anymore. I only have access to my laptop and not my desktop currently, so i am maxed out with 4gb ram. I don't see how adding more ram would lower the ram wow uses anyway. I just want to make it use as little as possible. Bossland!? :)

      Some other lines you can add or edit to the Config.wtf file are listed here, however I must stress that these will give you a detrimental affect on the way the game looks:

      * SET lod "0"
      Toggles Terrain Level of Detail (LOD) on “1” and off “0”.

      * SET lodDist "100"
      Sets the distance at which the Terrain Level of Detail (LOD) change occurs. The average range is 50-100. LodDist only functions when LOD is "1".

      * SET doodadAnim “0”
      Setting this to "1" will enable environment animations, such as windmills and birds.

      * SET mapShadows “0”
      Turns display of terrain shadows on “1” or “off”.

      * SET shadowLevel "0"
      Sets the resolution of the shadow maps on the terrain. “0” is high, “1” is low.

      * SET farclip "477.0"
      This matches the Farclip slider bar in the Game Options menu. The range is 177 to 777.

      * SET pixelShaders "0"
      Enabling pixelShaders allows the world to be rendered in less passes, potentially increasing performance on cards that support them.

      * SET specular "0"
      Specular cannot be used without pixelShaders. This option enables specular highlighting on certain terrain textures, giving a shiny, reflective look to some objects.

      Oh great, now it fluctuates between 100 and 120 mb :) I wonder what the fcuk this program does to achieve this. Maybe it cleans the memory every 15 seconds or so? Nevertheless, pretty impressive.

      Game Booster and the macros have worked wonders, running as low as 110mb on HB and 130mb on GB.

      Thanks!

      It disables all background un-needed services and resource hogs while gaming. Then when you're done gaming it re-enables everything. :)

      I'd also recommend these:

      1. Spybot Search and Destroy to remove any malware that may be using resources.
      2. CCleaner - To clean out un-needed files that Windows keeps for whatever reason (CHECK what it's planning on deleting before you commit changes) - Also removes surplus registry entries that will slow down the machine should you opt to use that section of the software.
      3. Defraggler - Infinitely better than the bog standard Windoze defrag. HIGHLY recommend defragging your machine once you've done 1 and 2 above to boost your performance.

      I don't mean to bump this thread but I'm using the GameBooster program however in about an hour the Memory goes up to 200mb per WoW client.

      I am running 15 WoW clients. How do I prevent it from going up? When I switch to Gaming Mode it was 100mb, then it rises up slowly to 200mb...

      The only thing you can do is refresh the RAM.
      The thing is, that when your char moves, it sees X new area, meaning it will gain Y new ram used.

      Not sure what it does, but if it cleans your mem very x mins, then it should do the job :D

      Yeah every 30 minutes or x time you set it too, its pretty neat...

      I am running 15+ clients I recommend using GameBooster, setting max fps to 15 and using Cleanmem. Great combination!
