      Hello, i can not install Honorbuddy. I't worked fine for a long time, but now when i tried to start it it would not start, an error came. Then i deleted the whole program and tried to reinstall, but now it says: "One ore more issues daused the setup to fail. 0x80070659 - This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator."
      I Have a log file but i wont upload it in case there are sensitive account information to be found there.

      its your virus protection if its kasperspy then go to settings then application control scroll down you will find honourbuddy at the bottom with a red dot next to it right click it change its permmissions to trusted click ok then apply job done if its another virus protection you will have to ask how to do it in that one

      its not the AV.

      you need to make sure your logged on as an Administrator on your local machine. if you are and your still getting it then something or someone went in and messed with your group policy settings.

      yea, sounds like some piece of malware went in, fucked with your system policy settings to prevent you from installing things to fix it.

      do a clean install of windows and change your passwords.

      This is happening to me....
      Started off I'd click honorbuddy but it would never have me log in with my key, just skip to the application then say failure.
      So I said "Clean Install" and now this is happening to me. I've checked and I'm still an administrator on my computer.

      You must realize that there is a bigger problem than installing honorbuddy.
      You can always extract from the dowload .zip

      You need to scan your computer for malware and viruses as well as fix your system policies.
      If you are the admin of your machine, you should be able to install anything you want.

      remove:
      - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
      - microsoft .net framework 4 extended
      - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
      - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

      restart your pc,
      download the installationwizard from here
      run it as administrator.
      after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
      restart

      next time open your own thread plz

      if its not, theres not much we can do. we're honorbuddy support not windows tech support. you should consider doing a clean install of your OS to make sure you wont have any issues going forward.

      Hello, I am very glad to tell that creating a new admin user worked. Thank you! :D
      I am now moving whatever i want to keep from the old user to the new user, and i am deleting the old account.
